DESCRIPTION
Available for auction is this very rare collectible meticulously kept 1967 Alfa Romeo 1600 Duetto Convertible, with a great running engine, really nice body, shiny original Alfa Romeo racing green paint job just a year old. This car is very rare. It is the same model that Dustin Hoffman drove in the classic move "The Graduate", in 1967. I must admit, I’m having a hard time parting with it, but must for financial reasons. As one of only 3,725 made this vehicle is very collectible! VIN: AR665118
BODY
I purchased this car from a nice gentleman from Scottsdale, Arizona, registered it in New Mexico and had it immediately shipped to California. The car has a very nice quality paint job, with a few minor flaws here and there. Everywhere I go, people stop and stare. I cannot tell you how nice this car shows with the black interior and the new racing green paint!
The previous owner repaired the minor rust spots on the car, so the
body is really nice and straight. The car has a new winter package, with total undercarriage coating to protect the bottom of the car from future rust.
If you know Alfas, you know how difficult it is to find a car with the paint
that matches the engine compartment. This Duetto has matching dash,
engine compartment, and trunk colors, with original Alfa color code.
The car has four shiny original Alfa Romeo chrome hubcaps, which
are a really nice addition to the car. The side view mirror is brand new chromed OEM with the correct Alfa Romeo insignia.
INTERIOR
The dash is very nice and shiny. Both driver and passenger side seats
show well. The door panels are brand new, with no tears, no
dis-colorations. All the gauges are in good working order, with nice and
shiny chrome rings. All the interior chrome pieces have been removed
and polished, they look really nice...the interior is beautiful and shiny. There is a small 4 inch tear in the driver’s seat backrest and a small crack about a 1/8” wide and 5” long on the dash just under the glove compartment. Not that noticeable, but if I kept the car it would be on my list of cosmetic improvements to be done. The top is in very nice condition, newer with no tears, no fading. The rear window is intact, the plastic is clear, no discolorations. The weather stripping around the doors are newer, but the stripping on the soft top needs to be replaced, another to do item.
ENGINE
The engine is in great condition, no leaks, runs strong, starts every
time for the first time. The original 1600cc Alfa engine has dual
side-draft Webber carburetors, which have been adjusted to top
performance. The vehicle has been thoroughly inspected and serviced by Alfa Only, the best Alfa Romeo shop in Los Angeles. The oil pump is new as are all the gaskets. The brake master cylinder and brake caliper hoses are all new and as are the rear brake pads and rotors. The vehicle has new spark plugs, harness; the transmission was recently serviced and resealed. Mechanically, this Duetto is in great condition. The hood is very nice and clean, no oil splash marks. It even has new OEM factory lubrication labels and stickers, which adds a great deal to the car’s originality. The cars runs and shifts very nice and smooth. The ANSA exhaust makes this Duetto sound really nice! Even at idle, it sounds like a car with a lot of power.

Fee and Tax Information: ANY AND ALL GOVERNMENT FEES, TAXES AND THE LIKE SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.
Winning bidder must contact the seller within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $1500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours seller reserves the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise.
Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, seller will gladly cooperate. You can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers`.
If you are not sure about something, please ask! Do not assume anything not listed is included. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids for excessive negative feedback and seller reserves the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.
