Highly restored 1970 AMC AMX - Go Pack
This vehicle is very fast and in great working condition. I have spent a lot of time and money getting it restored. Here are some of the recent restorations:
- Brand new paint job and pin rally strip
- Brand new top dash with new woodgrain
- Re-upholstered seats
- Most all of the weatherstripping is brand new including the doors, windows, and trunk
- New chrome engine covers (see picture)
- New headliner
- Re-finished door grab handles
- New chrome door locks
- New voltage regulator
- New alternator
- and more...

The car is very fast and has low mileage. Clean title too!
This is the 360 with automatic transmission and a center console shifter!
The car has been in my family for close to 15 years and we have spent a lot of time restoring it.
It has stayed in a garage for most of those years.
The engine runs great and there is a brand new battery in under the hood.
This edition does come with the A/C, however it is not currently functioning.
All together the car is in fantastic condition but still has some small things that could use restoration.
I have a copy of the original mechanics manual and original wiring diagram. Both are included in the sale.
Here are some minor cosmetic areas that could use some attention:
- The arm rests on each door need refurbishing or replacement. They aren't in bad condition, just used.
- The woodgrain plates on the arm rests need refurbishing. I just
refurbished the woodgrain on the console and the dash and had planned
to do the doors but decided to sell the car instead.
- The windshield wiper switch needs replacement. The switch works just
fine but the knob has broken off. The windshield wipers work perfectly.
- The two front turn lights work great but if you noticed in the
picture they are missing the decal. There is a chrome decal that fits
on top of them. I have 1 of the 2. I've been watching ebay trying to
buy another one. Haven't seen one yet.
- The fuel gauge doesn't work. I don't know why. This one has been low
on my priority list. Since all I have to do is keep it full.
- The plastic light on the back of the center console is missing. These
are super rare to find. I have been looking all over for one. I saw one
about 7 months ago and tried to win it but lost to a last minute sniper
bid that was way over what I was willing to pay. Haven't seen one since.
- The radio doesn't work. This is the original radio with AM/FM and it doesn't work. Not sure why.
- There is no door tag
There may be some other "age" marks on some of the parts and pieces but
I am trying to give the best info I can. Really the car is in great
shape for its' age, just look at the pictures. I will be taking
interior photos in the next few days and hope to get those posted asap.
