| Clean 1969 Javelin with the 290 V8, Automatic transmission and power steering, drum brakes (not power assisted). Older restoration, probably 10 plus years. Told it was a calif. car originally and taken down to the metal by the guy who restored it in Maine, who has been in touch over the years. Bought this car in late 2004, picked it up in Maine and drove it to NY. Drove fine. Just putted it around since. Trailered it to Milwaukee from NY. Original miles as near as I can figure. Tried to car fax it but the vin is too old. Overall in very good condition. What it needs is a good home, a tune up, a little front end work, (the left front tire is wearing unevenly: I was told that the front end left has a worn trunion and has some worn rubber bushings). The motor runs strong and the body is solid and rust free except a small rust bubble that has appeared at the right lower corner of the rear window this year where water collects. Right now, it has a Holly 4bbl and headers w/ chrome valve covers, bought it this way. The original 2bbl manifold, a motorcraft carb, original headers and painted valve covers are in the trunk and go w/ it for the perfectionist. Was told the color is a ford midnight blue, the original color was gold. Saw a 70 Mach 1 in the same color the other day, so it is probably so. Has American Racing mags w/ raised letter tires for that vintage look. The bad: is some paint chipping and a few small dents, one on the drivers side rocker, one on the passenger door and one in the hood where the prior owner closed it on a screwdriver or some tool, nothing major. Also needs window felts and some door rubber wouldn't hurt. The wipers(vacuum driven) are not too functional, (they run off the fuel pump which has a weak vacuum, they work fine when hooked to the manifold, have a new fuel pump that should cure that which will be included in the sale) or you can replace w/ electric. The speedo makes a clicking sound but works fine. Have another one I got off ebay which I will include. Radio/cassette deck isn't hooked up, just put it it in to fill the hole. Sold as is, where is. No warranties express or implied. You arrange shipping and/or pick up. It drives fine. I will work with you, but not for you.
