1974 AMC Matador station wagon, super clean, 69,000 rust-free, original miles! 304 V8 engine, Torque Command automatic trans, A/C {not blowing cold}, power disc brakes, PS, tilt wheel, power dual-position tailgate, AM/FM radio, 2spd intermittent wipers. Original 2 tone paint {light brown w/dark brown stripe} in exc cond. Original mint condition interior w/ psychedelic design pattern on seats. Front seats fully recline in the old Nash tradition. This car is cosmetically in almost perfect condition. The only flaws are a small crack in the windshield, a broken left taillight lens and a few small dings. Everything works...all of the electrical components, windows, doors, etc. The brakes, suspension, steering and transmission work perfectly. The radials still have a few thousand miles on them. The engine has some problems. It was running good for the first year I had it, although it smokes a lot and idles rough after it gets good and hot. It has never overheated on me. It always runs great on the freeway and has lots of power. Lately it seems to run like it's starving for fuel, so I stopped driving it. I don't have the time, money or knowledge to fix it. It would be a great car for someone who is mechanically inclined and has the time to fix her up. I figure the worst case scenario would be an engine overhaul. Other than that, it's a perfect cruiser/hauler with that funky/kitschy 70s style, all original, rust free, AND it's smog exempt! It has a clear Oregon title and current tags. It could probably be driven anywhere with some minor work. I drove it 4 plus hours home when I bought it over a year ago without any problems {except some smoking}. That being said, towing might be the best option. This is a 35 year old used car. There is no warranty of any kind. I am not a dealer. I have tried to be as honest as possible in my description. This car is sold as is. I will accept Paypal for a $250 deposit within 48 hours of auctions end. The balance due within 10 days of auctions end, by cashier's check, postal money order or cash in person. Thanks and good luck bidding! |
