1975 Aston Martin V8 Coupe, Yeoman Red (original color) with butter soft black leather interior, original black carpets ( as new), original wool headliner, new Air Conditioning compressor, 41,658 original miles.
This car looks new, drives as new. The original owner was Rex Woodgate, a Formula One driver for the Alta team in the early '50s. Woodgate later became the Aston Martin Factory Race Team Manager, then owned his own Aston Martin Race Team competing at the 12 Hours of Sebring amongst other venues, and is considered the "Father of the DB4GT", the lightweight version being his idea and commission on behalf of Aston Martin. By the mid '70's he was the head of Aston Martin North America, headquartered in King of Prussia, Pa. He put the first 11,000 miles on the vehicle then selling it to an avid AMOC member, all the receipts from whom are documented in the wonderful album that comes with this vehicle documenting every part of it's existence. It has most recently belonged to another AMOC member who heads up a very prestigious concours and has kept the car in absolutely exemplary condition. It is extremely rare in the US in being equiped with a Factory 5 speed ZF manual shift transmission. The air conditioning compressor was recently replaced as was the battery and handbrake pads. It is one of the most reliable of the classic Aston Martin models and is in true concours condition as well as marvelous driving condition.
