1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III Phase 1
The vehicle is thought to have been in New Mexico for its entire life. It has had the same owner for nearly 30 years.
It was a driver until about 6 years ago when it was put into storage. It will need a service and the hydraulics gone over but could then be a driver.
Motor was rebuilt/freshened up in the late 80s at 50,000 miles. At that time the rotating mass was balanced.
The car has very little rust overall. The pictures show the car worse than it really is. The bottom of the car is very straight. However, there are a few rust holes in the rockers. The rockers were patched at some point in the early 80's. If you require any specific shots of the rust, please ask.
New wheels and hubs were mounted just before the car was taken out of service. They are 72 spoke Daytons.
The interior of the car is original except for the seats and carpet. The dash and door panels will need attention.
This car would be an excellent candidate for a restoration. It would not take much, and mechanically the car is quite sound.
I am listing this vehicle for a friend, he is very motivated to sell the car. No reasonable offer will be refused.
