HISTORY OF THE BENTLEY S-SERIES:
The Bentley S series represents the last of the coach built cars, and while most examples featured the standard steel saloon bodies, a few were built with Mulliner Park Ward Continental bodywork in light alloy. The lighter weight and reduced frontal area permitted higher speeds, and the brakes were upgraded with an unusual four shoe arrangement on the front wheels. These cars are part of the legendary Continental line, and the second series cars combine the mechanical refinement of the later cars (including the recently introduced aluminum 6.2 liter V8), with the more coherent styling of the earlier cars. Thanks to their well proportioned and comparatively modern bodies, and motivated by the new V8 engine, these cars were meant for owner-drivers, as compared to their Rolls-Royce cousins, whose owners were used to being driven instead.

The Deposit: Please be ready to place a deposit within 48 hours of auction's close. All transactions must be completed within 7 days of the end of auction. If the car is not as represented upon your personal inspection here in St. Louis, your deposit will be promptly refunded.
Tax, Title and License: Missouri residents are responsible for applicable sales tax in your county as well as title and licensing fees. If you live outside of Missouri, you are responsible for applicable tax, title and licensing fees in your area.

However, with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective, so we recommend that the potential buyer fly out to inspect as well as test drive any of the vehicles before finalizing purchase. If your personal inspection is not possible, we will be glad to help facilitate an inspection by your chosen local independent service center and will make arrangements to deliver the vehicle to them for this purpose. All vehicles are sold in "AS IS" condition. However, extended warranty options are available on most vehicles. Our goal is to provide you with the best service and the most comfortable buying experience on eBay. We do not accept escrow, and all inspections must be done prior to delivery. The only fee associated with the sale is an $285.00 processing fee which covers processing of paperwork, pre vehicle delivery costs, cleanup, FedEx, etc and a 30-day temporary registration so the vehicle can be driven prior to transfer of title in your area.
In regards to winning bidders and Buy Now option customers: All winning bidders and buy-it-now option bidders must fly out and personally inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not as represented upon personal inspection, We will not only promptly refund your deposit, but will reimburse airfare based on your coach ticket value as well. This is another way for us to assure your satisfaction in conducting business with our company.
Pertaining to non eBay winners, anyone with a deposit but the sale is pending financing, 3rd party inspection or any other contingency, the said vehicle will not be held and is subject to be sold at any time, until all contingencies are removed and a manager or owner accepts and signs the purchase order.
