WHAT YOU’RE VIEWING IS A FACTORY VOLL CABRIOLET DRESSED IN
DESIRABLE RED WITH BLACK INTERIOR, 4 SPEED. IF YOU’RE LOOKING THAN YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT THIS MODEL IS NOT OFTEN OFFERED UP FOR SALE AND SUPER HARD TO FIND. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RARE OPPORTUNITIES TO OWN A PIECE OF BMW HISTORY. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR OVER FIVE YEARS NOW AND UNFORTUNATELY GROWING FAMILY FORCES US TO PART WITH THIS UNIQUE AUTOMOBILE.
ONLY A HANDFUL OF THESE CARS WHERE EVER PRODUCED. 1682 TO BE EXACT AND ONLY 650 FOR 1969. I ACQUIRED THE CAR FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR HERE IN CALIFORNIA HE’S A BMW ENTHUSIAST AND A CABRIOLET GURU IN HIS OWN RIGHT, AND A SUPER NICE GUY... HE PURCHASED THE CAR FROM THE 2ND OWNER IN GERMANY AND IMPORTED THE CAR TO THE US.
THIS CAR LOOKS AND DRIVES BEAUTIFUL, DOESN’T BURN OIL OVERHEAT OR DOES ANYTHING FUNNY ALL FUNCTIONS OF THE CAR WORK PROPERLY INCLUDING THE TOP, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME ITEMS MENTIONED BELOW. AS FAR AS APPEARANCE, I WILL LET THE PICTURES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS.
IT HAS 177,XXX KILOMETERS WHICH CONVERTS TO JUST UNDER 110,XXX MILES ON THE CAR. IT WAS RESTORED BACK IN GERMANY IN 1987. IT’S BEEN OVER TWENTY YEARS SINCE its RESTORATION AND HAS HELD UP VERY NICELY.
Body:
· Paint bubbles on the passenger side right bottom corner (area about 3” by 3”)
· pAINT Bubbling next to shock towers
· rear wheel wells appear to be new that includes REAR shock towers
· ding on the front belt trim 3” RIGHT OF EMBLEM
· paint has some light surface scratches and imperfections not noticeable in the pictures
· Bumpers are period (72) but not original to the 1969
· Side protector MOLDINGS offered in (72) not correct for 1969
· Front windshield has some normal wear
· Chrome has normal wear for age
· convertible Top rear window has some MINOR scratches
· GAP BETWEEN DOORs AND front FENDERS COULD be better
Interior:
· Carpet not original
· back seat has a small tear on the center top surface
· Radio not original but comes with period correct German radio (no face plate)
· trunk has after market red carpet fitted on top of original plastic
· small tear on the left sun VISOR
Mechanics:
· engine BLOCK # not matching vin.
· Has a minor oil leak from the oil pan gasket
· 2nd gear sometimes hard TO PLACE but FINE when driving
· heater control LEVER SOMETIMES sticks

· Full service (plugs, points, valve adjustment, fluids)
· New battery
