| Mileage reads about 73,200 or so. I don't know enough history of the car (although I have owned it for 5 or 6 years now) to guarantee that is original, although if you drive it you would probably conclude it is original, the car is tight and drives like new. Everything is mechanically sound except it is about ready for a new crossover on the exhaust (it has a couple of holes that can be patched, but it really is ready to be replaced). This is not an optioned out Riv. No power windows, seats, etc. It does not have a/c which is probably the biggest negative on the car. This is a very nice car, looks good and drives excellent, but it is not flawless. If it were flawless the price would double. I think realistically an investment of 3 to 5 thousand will take the car from very nice to exceptional. So here are the primary items I am aware of that I would address in the next couple of years to complete the restoration: car was repainted (black) clear coat base and I think they prepped it and let it sit too long before they sprayed it; there are about 3 very small bubbles, one above the rear driver side tail light, one behind the chrome on the rear fender, and one on the sail panel, all of these are very minor, not holes; the interior is in good condition and was probably replaced several years ago, all original in appearance, the primary interior item is that the dash pad is starting to crack in two places; the window fuzzies and the rubber on the vent windows needs to be changed; I have purchased the fuzzies (they are custom parts, are elaborate and expensive) but have not put them on yet, they need to be done because the fuzzies on the rear windows were fastened with screws by a prior owner and the screws will scratch the windows (they have tiny scratches right now so I don't use those two windows, although they operate fine), putting on the new fuzzies properly will address this problem; the front bumper looks good from most angles but if you get down on your knees in front of the car you will see surface rust on the two vertical pillars of the bumper, it is ready to rechrome; the rear bumper does not need rechroming but the left side of the bumper is slightly closer to the tail light above it than the right (I don't know if that is an alignment issue or a slight bend in the bumper, most people don't even notice it). The trunk is rock solid but the channel where the weather stripping is (weather stripping where the trunk lid makes contact) has some rust under one part of it; I had cleaned it up a few years ago, but it really neds to be carefully cleaned out and treated, primed and sprayed to do it right).
I have redone the brakes completely (I mean completely, including hoses, new stainless lines, hardware, drums, shoes, etc.). I have just put a new heater core and new windshield wiper motor. Everything on the car works; nothing is missing (I have the am radio out bc I was going to change it, but it works and I can put it back in if the buyer wants). When I bought the car, the front driver spring was broke. I changed it and the ball joint and shock, then did springs and shocks on the back also. I did not do the spring on the front passenger side because it didn't need it, but I have the new spring and it goes with the car. I have several replacement parts for the front suspension that are new, expensive parts that go with it (tie rod ends, etc.), but they do not need changing right now. I have this because it all came in one big kit. I also have an electronic ignition for the car that I have not installed yet, but goes with it.
This is a head turner that you can drive anywhere today and needs nothing mechanically. Anyone who drives this car will be pleased and I am sure will buy it.
