| | Vehicle Description |
| I am re-listing this because of the previous buyer never contacted me back or paid for the vehicle. This very original 1961 Buick Electra four door sedan that runs and moves and only has 32,720 original miles on it. The Electra has a V-8, automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. It was a garage kept vehicle until 2003, when its previous owner bought it from the original owner. He drove it only 45 miles before parking it due to rust in the gas tank, then vandals stole the original carburetor and linkage, and broke the driver's side rear door window. I purchased it, put a new Edelbrock Carter AFB 4 barrel carb on it, a new fuel pump, distributor cap and rotor, new plugs, and got the car running off of a small gas can. The original air cleaner does not fit the new carb, but a adapter plate could be made to make it work. I put good tires and rally wheels off of a Chevy pickup on it, but the original wheels with the original hubcaps go with it. The Dynaflow automatic transmission works good and shifts well, but the brakes are very soft and still need to be repaired. The 364 cubic inch Buick Nailhead V-8 runs smooth and does not smoke, but the exhaust pipes and muffler are rusted out and it is a little loud. The body is beautiful for an all original unrestored car that has been outside for the past five years, and the chrome is great. Rust is beginning to surface through the paint on some areas, but the worst of it is in small amounts on the bottom of the front fenders, around the chrome trim, and in a small area of the trunk. The trunk is still rock solid, as are the floors, rocker panels, and the quarter panels. The interior has some issues on the drivers side of the seat and carpet, and the sun has cracked the padded dash. Otherwise, the interior is beautiful and only suffers from age and dryness. The ORIGINAL AM TUBE-TYPE RADIO STILL WORKS and plays very clearly! It would make a great family cruiser or nostalgic tow vehicle. If you need any more photos of certain areas or details, or have any questions, please ask. There is also another spare set of fenders, hood, and front bumper that go with the car if you want them. The reserve is way too low for how solid and nice the car is!!
