This auction is for a 1973 Eldorado convertible. Please note that I will be adding information and pictures across the next day or two. If you have specific questions, please email me and I will reply in full detail.
I bought this car last year, and had it shipped in from Nevada at great expense...the 1973 has always been my favorite out of the 71-76 era, and this color (Andes Copper - Like a deep orange Firemist) is so sharp on this body! I couldn't resist, since the car was rust/rot free.
A quick synopsis - The car has 72000 original miles on it. I have a clear Nevada title that is ready to transfer. She runs and starts decent, might want to toss a tune-up or tweak the carb a bit. Four tires are like new, I transferred them from my previous Eldo, so they only have like 1000 miles on them. The master cylinder is bad, I have a new one but with winter never got around to putting it on. The top goes up and down fine, it is tan colored and matches the body nice. It does have a tear in the right rear quarter, but otherswise if great. The body is straight with only 2 notations: A ding in the driver fender, a ding in the front hood over the headlight. The paint is a little faded from sunshine, but likely will polish out with a buffer. The trims are all there, and the chrome is real nice. It has a rare Rolls Royce hood header panel on it too. The interior panels are uncracked and very decent considering the heat they went thru - the driver seat has a tear, and the dash a crack. Minor refreshing the interior would enhance the car - The color is Antique Sandalwood. All the glass is fine....windows all work (right rear is slow as I recall). CV Boots are torn and need replacing, minor trans pan leak too (gasket).
This is not a high-needs project car.....you start with a very solid body and could drive it as-is and be proud. A tinker here, a tinker there across time and it can only appreciate more in value.
TERMS: FULL PAYMENT due within 7 days. DEPOSIT DUE ($1000) within 72 hours of auction close OR IMMEDIATELY if you use Buy It Now. Car is being sold as-is. I recommend truck transport for the vehicle, since the car has not formally been 'gone thru' to bring it to tested driveability status.
NOTE: The first 2 pics are of a comparable 1973, in order to show off the paint color. The second 2 shots - taken at dusk - are actually the car I am selling. The coloring didn't show up well due to the time of day, so I used the sample picture as the main one. More pics to be posted within a day or 2.
