1960 Cadillac DeVille Convertible
1960 was concerned by many to be the come back year for Cadillac. In 1959 they released they’re new redesigned body style with very high fins and dual tail rocket type lamps. Cadillac lost many of their old time buyers with this new style as many felt it was just to ostentatious. However, the younger executive and those moving up the social latter loved the car and purchased them like crazy. But as we all know new customers are silver and old customers are gold. As a result Cadillac lowered the fins in 1960 making the car appear even longer and lower. They also changed the grill design and the panel below the trunk, put the tail lamps in the bumper and a lamp in the fin. The result was a winner accepted by the old and new customers.
This is a numbers matching car, completely restored with new paint, triple plated chrome on the bumpers and the pot medal. The interior was redone with the correct color leather with the buttons. The smell of leather fills the air in the interior. The original blue top was replaced with a like kind and quality new top in the same blue color. This is an outstanding automobile for the Cadillac collector. Let me know if you would like to see any additional pictures.
