1941 CADILLAC 60 SPECIAL BODY BY FLEETWOOD 1 OF 4100 MADE!! 95911 ORIGINAL MILES RESTORED AND BEAUTIFUL Our 41 Caddy has been in the family since the late 70's when it was found in a farmers field and brought home to be restored to her original beauty. The restoration was completed in the early 90's and kept inside ever since. This vehicle is considered a true classic and many consider this model to be one of the finest Cadillacs ever built. The exterior of the vehicle is in very good condition. There are no dents or rust. The chrome is all straight with no corrosion. The paint is showing it's age and has some cracking between the driver door and driver side rear door, and a few scratches. The paint itself is beautiful but could use a fresh coat since it is discolored in some spots. The discolored spots look like it was buffed too much as it is darker than the rest of the paint. If we were going to keep this vehicle I would only repaint if we decided to show it. Some of the rubber trim around the taillights and a couple windows is staring to crack as well. There is some white paint scuffs on the lower right front fender thanks to the place we we were storing it at. The paint will all buff out except a 2" long scratch. The interior is beautiful. The upholestry is in excellent condition with no rips, dicloration or stains. The right rear window is cracked but I have a new piece of glass for it. The dash is in excellent condition. The radio works along with the interior lights. The steering wheel has a cracked spoke and the clock needs a fuse. Also the drivers side wood trim needs a fresh coat of varnish. Overall a 9 out of 10! The engine fires right up and runs very smooth. It was brought back to original condition as well with all the glass containers still in perfect shape. The tranny is a 4 speed automatic that runs through all 4 real smooth. There is a minor oil leak from the oil filter and a another from the oil pan area, but other than that there is no other leaks. I would recommend changing all the fluids since I am not sure when they were changed last. The brakes are excellent and just serviced this year.1941 was the first year Cadillac offered V8 engines only, the 9-main-bearing V16 having departed the previous year. This 346 cubic-inch engine produced 135 bhp. A notable facelift for '41 was the 'egg-crate' grille which remained a Cadillac feature for another thirty years. The under carriage is a origianl rear axle and fuel cell, with new front control arms and suspension. The trunk is not upholstered. My father in law restored this Caddy with the help of some Caddy mechanics here in Englewood Colorado. He passed on in the mid 90's and the vehicle has been in storage ever since. It is now for sale due to the fact that it needs to go to a home where it can be appreciated, enjoyed and looked after for years to come. We have the title but due to all the moving over the years we can not find the reciepts for all the work. Please email me with questions and I will do what I can to help you out.
