Here is a beautiful 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado! The 70 Eldorado was a milstone car, with the debut of the monster 500 cubic inch engine, the only high compression 500, as the 71 and up 500 had drastically reduced compression and other emission controls, dropping horsepower and torque. The 1970 500 cubic inch engine, with 400 HP and 550 foot lbs of torque, is the most powerful Cadillac engine ever sold. Even a 67 Vette 427 Tri Power engine had only [argh!] 485 foot pounds, 65 less than this Caddy! This engine runs like a champ, no smoke or noise at all. The transmission shifts beautifully. Transmission was just recased with all new seals etc. The glass is all flawless except a tiny star on the very bottom left corner of windshield, not seen by the driver. The interior is the most amazing original 1970 interior I've ever seen. The original carpets are fantastic, not shown are the long floormats in great condition. The leather seats are unbelievable, not even any patina. The dashpad has not even 1 tiny crack, and the instrument cluster looks like new nos,as does everything under the dash. Headliner, visors, and seatbelts are flawless. Package shelf flawless. Seatbacks flawless. The entire interior has only a couple tiny flaws, a small crack on drivers armrest, a 1 inch split in drivers seat back down low, and thin steering wheel insert worn. Power windows and seat all work fast and smooth. Tilt telescopic wheel. The outer body is astonishing, not a single rust through anywhere inside or outside the vehicle. Beautiful quarters, fenders, doors. All lower moldings flawless. Trunk has nice original side panels, carpet, and jute pad, plus nice original jack. The engine compartment has every wire, vacuum line, everything totally intact as original. There are some new a/c components. I can email you tons of pictures of the almost totally original engine compartment with every tiny piece exactly as installed by the factory. Mountains of maintenance receipts including dozens of oil changes on the 500. As nice as this car is, it does need some work. The car had the vinyl top removed and the moldings were lost. The car needs a paint job, as there is cracking, some chips, and tiny areas of surface rust. There is a crease, small, on the right fender. The climate control does not work, could be a fuse or blower motor. The trunk pulldown, though clean, needs work. The outside door handles and mirror are pitted, inside mirror has faded glass. Trunk lock cover gone. And, once the car is warmed up and you shut it off, the carb floods, you must floor the pedal and crank a few seconds. This is common on Rochester fuel bowls. Yes, the car needs freshened up with paint etc. But can you imagine the cost of restoring a leather interior and instruments like this beauty? Or tracing every vacuum line and connection under this original hood? Reserve is a low $4000. Overall, a true survivor that is in amazingly preserved running condition, needs some work, and needs a new papa! Located 40 miles from Portland Oregon, close to I-5. Has clear Washington title, expired tags. I drove it 250 miles from Seattle to my house at night, a real highway queen!. I will assist in every way with US or international shipping arrangements.
