You are looking at “Beatrice”. A very rare 1968 Caddy Deville Conv. It is unlikely you will ever see another 1968 convertible in this factory color and certainly not mostly original with low miles. This is as sharp looking as the 68 Caddy can get! The metallic Silverpine teal paint is stunning and attracts many admirers.

1968 was the best year for this car! It was the last year of this stunning body style and the first year of the big 375HP GM 472 CID engine. “Beatrice” is very rare in this original factory Silverpine metallic paint with off white leather. It’s a very attractive South Beach color. This car has only 69,800 original miles and was owned by a retired doctor for 35 years! I have spent over $5,000 on recent maintenance since 2003 keeping it nice. This car is ready to cruise across the country and is truly a joy to drive! This is a beautiful looking classic road cruiser in dependable daily running condition. That legendary 375HP/ four barrel engine runs very smooth and strong! Every touch of the pedal gently reminds you how much power this car has.
Also, this particular car really catches attention everywhere. She was professionally repainted and clear coated in her matching factory original teal color in 1997 and the paint still has an amazing “wet look” due to the high quality metallic paint used and extra layers of clearcoat. After 11 years she does have typical nicks and chips, corrosion on the chrome, a little rust starting (only around the trunk), but from 10 feet away this car looks like a totally restored “show” car. The combination of this beautiful metallic teal with all that chrome and off white leather is perfect! The engine, body, frame, and interior are original and very nice overall.
I have driven “Beatrice” from Florida to Maine and back again! She has never let me down! Never! This reliable 472cid engine and smooth power train is perfect! She starts and runs perfectly every time. I am a fool to sell her. Unfortunately, I must sell her (and 3 others too) to pay for a new restaurant venture I own and I will be very sad to say goodbye to my “Beatrice”. She is my favorite! This caddy is an absolutely lovely car to own and cruise around in. I must have looked at dozens of 1968 Caddy Deville’s before I found this car. Chances are you have not, and will not, see another exactly like her. She should be worth well over $30,000 based on other original classics values and inflation. I have more than that invested. Eventually these 68’s will be worth some major bucks so buy with total confidence! You will really love driving this car. I am asking $22,000 locally (Ft Lauderdale, Fl) and on Craigs list so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Here is some valuable Deville collector facts:
1968 was the first year for the 472CID, the second largest motor ever put in a passenger car. It was also the last year for the forward slanted stacked dual headlights. Therefore, 1968 is the “Holy Grail” of older Caddy’s! This body style was only built for 2 years! 1967 and 1968. The 1967 Deville’s look nearly identical but unfortunately have the least popular 429 engine. 1965’s and 66's had straight lines from end to end and straight stacked lights but the 67’s and 68’s had the cool 5” aft step at the shoulder just behind the doors giving more back seat area, a bigger trunk, and a more sophisticated appeal. The 472 motor is legendary powerhouse and GM still uses the design today. Offshore racing boats and many restored muscle cars and drag racers still desire this engine over any other. They are tough, powerful, and reliable. The other Caddy’s might be cheaper because they had the bored out tired GM 429, which is considered one of the worst Caddy motors. Do some research and make sure you buy a 1968 or newer Caddy. If you want the perfect balance of engine and grace, then you only want a 1968! Based on other values, like the older Caddy’s that cost $5,000 new and are bringing over 35K at classic auctions. The 68 Caddy cost $6,500 fully loaded and today a few nice ones can still be found for around $20,000! Amazing! Very soon these cars are going way up in value! In a few years you will see nice 1968’s selling well over $30,000! There is no doubt. Ask any Caddy collector. Like the 68 Shelby Mustang, soon the 68 Deville Conv. will fall in the spotlight and values will climb. The legendary big motor insures it!
Buy with confidence! “Beatrice” is a very rare clean 1968 Caddy Deville Conv. It is unlikely you will ever see another 1968 Deville convertible in this color, or one that is mostly all original with low miles and still clean and running perfect. White, black, blue, red, burgundy, gold, were common but this awesome metallic Silverpine color is very rare and likely considered the prettiest color Caddy to own in the future!
