Here is a VERY Nice Rust FREE 72 Chevelle. I Cannot say for sure that it is a SS. What I do know is the car had all the markings of a SS when I Bought it including the old Green paint with black stripes Rally wheels with SS center caps (which I still have ) the SS badge on the trunk is very old .The SS package was a Dealer option after 1970. Not a Factory option any more. The dealer could dress these babies anyway you wanted to pay for.

The car was repainted 5 years ago to it's Beautiful 1972 Corvette Red with Black stripes. It is base coat clear coat. the only blems in the paint are on the back corners of the top where the two lead seams were. They can be sanded out I think. I'm no body man. This car is a 99% Rust Free Car. The only reason it's not 100% is I don't think they exist.
The engine in this Beauty in a 396 BB with all Eagle Rotating Assembly, J&E Pistons File Fit Rings. the Block has been bored .060 which makes a 402 cid the block was also line bored, decked to .000 Heads are square port closed chamber which makes compression at 13:1 It will not run on anything less tha 92oct gas. Cam is a Comp Hydrolic specs Lift 526 /526 Duration 280 / 280 degs I do Still have the origanal engine and heads they were BB402 Elderbrock Victor JR Air Gap Intake with a Holley 850cfm Carb fed by a Holley Blue Fuel Pump and Regulator. The exhust is Flomaster 3" the Headers are Hooker 2" tubes 3" collecters This Car was built to run VERY FAST and is not a Kids Toy
Transmisson is a Turbo 350 with a pro shift kit. it has a small leak at the pan needs the gasket replaced. The rearend is a GM 12 bolt with 4:11 gears
The Interior has been redone Tilt Steering ,New Carpet, Seat Covers, Headliner Dash pad in good shape, New Door Panels This was a AC car Air Box and vents are still there no compressor. The Wheels on the car are Center Line. I have the orginal ones. I will swap if you choose. |
