Up for auction is my 1979 Chevy Camaro
Looking for a car you can drive on the street and then take it to the track and have some real fun with it? Then check out this car, It still needs some work done to it but for someone who knows how to work on a car, this car would be worth bidding on. The engine is a 350 small block with 4 bolt mains, a TCI racing automatic transmission with a B&M Pro Stick shifter, GM 10 bolt conv. to possi. rear end, installed is a line lock for the front brakes perfect for doing long burn outs with lots of tire smoke ( son loved it ) comes with a 2 step module for staging at the drag strip, just set the 2 step put your foot to the floor on the accelerator, RPM's only go up to a set limit then release the 2 step and you launch off the line at full throttle ( works great sitting at red lights and you want to beat the car next to you when the light turns green ) Car has JAZZ PRO racing seats with 4 point safety harness to hold you in your seat. I wanted to replace the original dash with a custom made dash with high performance Auto Meter gauges, I have the dash panel made and holes cut out for 6 gauges, 2 1/16" hole dia. and 2 holes 3 3/8" for the speedometer and tach. I have only purchased 3 gauges, water temp, oil pressure, and voltmeter. The gauges are brand new from summit. The car has subframe connectors welded in to make it stronger and has competition eng. Ladder bars installed. I haven't driven this car in a couple of years it's been stored in my garage, it does run, I just put a fresh set of plugs in it and a oil change castrol syntec 10w30 full synthetic oil. I changed the jets in the carb it was running a little to rich, carb or timming may need tuned to get it running at optimal performance. Winning bidder will need to pick it up with a trailer, no gauges are hooked up yet will need some work to get it ready to drive. Body does need work, my son worked on it and fixed some of the body problems but it still needs more body work and a fresh paint job. Will need a new hood with a scope, a 3" cowl hood would work great. I'm selling this car with no reserve high bidder takes it. The engine alone is worth more then what my starting price is.
