Offered is a one family owned 1972 Chevy 1/2 ton short wheel base 4 wheel drive Cheyenne, automatic transmission, tilt steering, power steering, power brakes pickup truck.
This truck is a rare Cheyenne equipped 4 wheel drive with tilt column. It has been in the same family since it left the showroom in 1972. It had a new acrylic enamel paint job in 2006 (except for inside the bed). It is not totally original, as the gas tank, engine, seat, steering wheel and wheels are not the originals that came on the truck. The sale does include the following spare parts: Original AM radio, original full wheel covers, original distributor, original TH 350 transmission, some extra sunburned body side molding, original rear glass, BUILD SHEET and original owners manual.
White paint with woodgrain trim and blue interior are the original colors.
The gas fills from under the left rear wheel well. The truck has a blazer tank underneath & between the rear frame rails. This is a very common conversion in order to get the gas tank out of the cab for safety reasons. It has been that way since 1974.
The truck has a brand new GM crate engine, 350 CI, with 12/12 manufacturers warranty. Also has a new battery, new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor and rebuilt distributor.
This truck is about 90% original, I got it from my dad in 1980 and I can relate everything that has ever happened to, or been done to this truck. If you're wanting to restore one of these trucks to pristine condition, you won't find a better truck. This truck turns heads wherever it goes. It has only ever lived in Colorado and Arizona.
