| You are looking at a project S-10. The body is a 1983 BUT the frame and drive train is from a 1987. I had 2 Blazers the 1983 had a wasted motor and the 1987 was all banged up. What I did was pull the body off the 1987 and repalced it with the body of the 1983. I also had to transfer all the wiring harness--computer--and dash out of the 1987 because the 1983 was a carb. and 1987 is FI. The reason why it's titled a 1983 is that there was too much B/S to get it re-vined but if you want to do that I have both titles. Everthing worked out great for a few years till the motor went it, I replaced it with a GM Good Wrench Re Man.(see pic). I want to say I put maybe 30,000 to 40,000 miles on it, even through the dash read 186,000. Truck runs fine just touch the key and go, it has 30/9.5-15" largest tire you can put on it and they are in real good shape plenty of tread on them I put maybe 20,000-25,000 on them, they have the Factory GM Rim's with the Beauty Trims(chrome trim)- Under the Truck Florsent Blue Bulbs make's it glow (rear one is blown out needs to be replaced). Euro Tail Lights--CD player-Hood Lights-Driving Lights-Square Cut Diamond Head Lights-Fender Flares and Window Vent Visors-New Distrtibutor-New In Tank Fuel Pump- Alt- Starter and more. Now for the bad parts. It is going to need a muffler just went out a few weeks ago it was inspected in Jan and passed with flying colors as far as brakes--suspension--no manifold leaks etc-As seen it the pics the Rocker panals on the passanger side is going to need work as with the rear quarter panel---It has a 700R Transmission and is starting to slip out, it's fine if you manual up shift it but if you leave it in drive and take off but it slugest and you need to up shift to get into O/D. I'm thinking either the front pump or the governor gears which they were famous for which if you have the knowlage just pop off the side plate and and you can see it 10 minutes of messy work (I don't even want to know what it is thats why I have never played with it) the good news is if you need to pull the trans it will be easier then a factory ones because when I put this truck together I made it where everthing even the starter will only take a pro 10 minutes to install instead of 45 minutes, the 4x4 works great used it the other day ripping out a tree stump. The head liner is starting to come down on the inside only in the 80's other then that the interior is clean. I have owned and built this truck since 2001 the motor was replaced in 2004, I dont use it much another one just sitting. If you need anymore pics of it please just e-mail me you e-mail address and I will be more then happy to send you what ever pic you want... This if for local pick-up only I live in Chesterfield Va. A 50% deposit is due within 48 hour of close of auction Thank you for looking and please check out my other auctions..................THIS IS ANOTHER RE-LIST BECAUSE OF ANOTHER DEAD BEAT BIDDER. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO BUY. IF YOU HAVE 0 FEEDBACK OR NEW TO E-BAY PLEASE E-MAIL ME B-4 YOU BID OR I WILL JUST CANCEL THE BID. Even though this truck runs and drives good I would NOT recommend it for a road trip with the trans acting up the way it is. |
