1962 Bel Air
Up for auction is a 1962 Chevy Bel Air wagon.
This is a very solid car. It spent its life in California and it shows. All the floor braces are good, with no patching. Inner rockers are solid, trunk floor looks great, fender bottoms are solid ect.
The car has been repainted in a color very close to the original color, which is surf green. The roof was sprayed in cream color, and really looks nice with the green.
The bumpers and stainless are original and nice driver quality.
The interior on the car has been redone in its original color. The headliner is original and in nice shape. The door panels were replaced, seats recovered, and dash and other panels repainted.
The car has a smooth running 283 which is probably original to the car. It is a V8 coded car. It has a mild cam. It has a brand new edelbrock 650 carb. It breaths through a brand new dual exhaust system with flowmaster mufflers. The car sounds great. With the cam and exhaust its got a mean sounding idle. It dose smoke a bit when you put your foot to the floor, but it doesn’t effect the performance or drivability of the car. It is a 3 speed manual with a floor shifter. The clutch feel nice and tight and doesn’t slip. It shifts through the gears good.
The air ride suspension is brand new and was just installed on the car. It consist of all high end components from Air Ride Technologies, Viar, SMC , Slam Specialties bags, ect. The car ride smooth and the ride height can be changed at the push of a button. The rear shocks are brand new.
The wheels and tires are also brand new. 18s in the front and 20s in the rear. They have less than 20 miles on the wheel s and tires.
The headlights , taillights, and brake lights all work fine, horn works, the turn signals and wipers do not work.
Overall this is a very solid car and is a great cruiser. It is not a perfect car, but will make someone a great driver. It will draw a crowd an any car show or cruise night.
I have sold many cars on Ebay and always had happy buyers. Bid with confidence.
