Sweet Summer Beach Cruiser!
1984 Chevy Blazer K5 4x4 Silverado
Too nice for a mudder truck!!
strip off the top and start cruising!!!!
The Good:
-
- Auto Transmission
- Air Conditioning (needs charged)
- 4x4
- Class III hitch (great for towing)
- from what I understand there are TWO hard to find options in these trucks, this one has them both - the 700R4 transmission and a 6.2L Diesel
- tons of power - starts and runs like a top, super smooth!!
- TWO brand spanking new Interstate MTP78DT batteries installed last week 1000CA 800CCA EACH!
- the previous owner is retired and has owned it since 1991 and had new doors and fenders installed around 1997 and had the custom colors done. Ever since he owned it he's pampered the truck. Having NEVER seen winter or snow or salt in the last 10 years!!!!
- the front floors and rockers and door jams, tailgate and fender wells are all excellent condition
- it has been heavily undercoated and oil sprayed every year to prevent rust
- he was meticulous with any regular maintanence that needed to be done and never let it slide
- he also tossed the original unajustable seats and instaled some 6 or 8 way power buckets out of a newer van, a Dodge or Montana I think
- the transmission was rebuilt around 3 years ago and the overdrive was beefed up (so I was told).. he says it's bulletproof now
- original rear bench and matching bench to new buckets are included, as well as any trim pieces or badging and interior panels that I have. Also, a new weather strip for the removable top is also included.
- chrome bumpers are in excellent condition with no pitting or rust
The bad:
The floor of the rear of the bed area is in need of repair. I have ordered the replacement floor panel which I should have by the time the auction ends. I will include it at no cost to the winning buyer. One panel can be cut into 3 pieces to repair the 3 bad spots the rear floor has.
The reason that this area is as bad as it is is because the carpet and trim piece had never been removed until one day the owner was removing the rear seat and heard a crunch under his knee. He pulled everything and discovered the 3 small holes and the rear lip of the bed to be rusted. This is the ONLY rust on the vehicle. I have taken several pictures to show exactly what you are looking at so there are no surprises.
The clearcoat on the hood is lifing in two small areas. It is hard to tell from the pictures as I took them one frosty morning and the layer of frost makes it look worse than it is. You can tell it's only frost by looking at the front windshield in the same picture.
There are some stains on the seats and carpets, no rips or tears that I can see. the body does have a few scratches and a couple of small stone chips etc scattered around on random locations (tailgate).
You may want to confirm mileage with a Carfax report. I'm not sure if it's 232000, 332000 or 432000 kms.
If you are a buyer from Ontario, the truck does come with a UVIP and it emissions test exempt. Otherwise, it's sold AS - IS.
A non-refundable deposit of $250 is due within 24 hours after auction ends.
I accept cash, interac email transfer, paypal or bank draft or certified cheque. HOWEVER, if paying via bank draft or certified cheque I cannot release the vehicle to you until 14 business days have passed. Due to fraud and conterfieting of bank drafts & certified cheque, many banks are doing a hold until payment clears. Thanks for your understanding. Cash is preferred. |
