The last time Chevy produced a 2 door station wagon was the 1964 & 1965 Chevelle 300 2-door Wagon. So here is your opportunity to get a custom one-of-a-kind 2-door Chevelle Station Wagon. As you can see from the frame-off primer photo, a 1969 Chevelle Malibu 2-door Hardtop Coupe was used to make this 69 Concours Wagon into a custom one-off dream machine. Power windows all the way around, all windows including rear tailgate are power. GM 7.4 liter Vortec 454 cubic inch fuel injected engine with 4L80E 4-speed computer controlled automatic transmission. This Family Cruiser gets 18 MPG Highway and can be a great long hauler for your Street Rod. The 454 cubic inch (7.4L) Vortec Big Block and 4L80E (MT1) High Performance Heavy Duty Transmission drivetrain was taken out of a 1998 Chevrolet PU with just 33,068 miles on it (the speedometer and VIN from this donor vehicle is included). The new build has a total of 4,892 miles since the complete frame off restoration. So, this bullet proof drivetrain is barely broken in as GM recommends a tune up at 100,000 miles and many of these workhorses are still in service with well over a quarter million miles on them. These new state-of-the-art Vortec engines were designed to meet the combined needs of performance, fuel economy, and limited emissions. The Vortec 7400 big block V8 produces 290 HP @ 4000 rpm and 410 lb-ft of torque @ 3200 rpm. This large displacement workhorse has the torque to handle big jobs – towing trailers, hauling heavy loads and other weighty tasks – while providing power, strength and endurance. The 4L80E is an electronic, overdrive-equipped version of the venerable TH-400. It is tough enough to handle just about whatever you put it through.
