| I purchased two chevys from the same guy in El Cajon, Ca. This car being one of them is a perfect example of a dry, rust free California car. These chevy's are notorious for rusting out behind the back doors at the quarter panel. The car runs and drives great, it has the 216 with 3 on the tree manual trans. Below is a description describing the overall car.-BodyThe only dent that I have found is on the passenger side quarter panel, about the size of a fist. Take a look at the pictures below to see the dent. The car has no rust in the floors, trunk, wheel wells or rocker panels. Absolutely rust and rot free, please feel free to come and inspect. All the glass is in place and the windows rull up and down as they should. The vent wing window on the driver side rear has a crack in it, everything else is crack free. All the stainless is in place and damage free, has all the emblems as well. The car has definitely never been in an accident and I would rate the body a strong 9 out of 10.-InteriorTake a look at the pictures and you will see the original interior, however it is original and needs help. The headliner has rips and tears, however all the dowels are in place. The seats are complete and covered with blankets, useable but not show worthy by any means. The door panels are old and need to be redone, however they are there and complete. The dome lights come on when the doors open. The gauges all work as they should, however I have not been able to get the radio to work. -ChromeThe bumpers, grill and bumpers are all nice and straight. They could use some new chrome as you can see, but they are very solid. The tirm is all very nice and will polish up with a little elbow grease. The master cylinder has been rebuilt and I have driven the car around. The generator is making some noise, Im assuming the bearings in it are old and worn. The car has a great patina to it. It would be difficult to find another car in such a solid condition, dont miss out on this one. Please ask questions and I will answer them honestly. Thanks for looking and I will be listing my 52 Chevy deluxe hardtop which is in better condition than this one. Send me an email if interested in the 52. |
