Custom 1955 Chevy Sedan Delivery w/ Suicide Doors & lowering kit
"The Slimer"
Whether you're camping or at a car show you'll always make friends with this car. The pictures can't show how bright this green is. Well, it's slimer green.
This is a custom built Sedan Delivery. Dubbed "the Slimer" It has a custom interior, all black, folding rear seats and tons of cargo room. The interior was done 5 years ago. The suicide door have remote access. No outside handles. The doors align and shut perfectly.
There is a casette player and radio. Speakers in the front doors and some more in the back.
The 327 motor is out of a 64 chevy. Runs great. It is a rebuilt stock motor. Great cruiser. We use it as a driver during the summer. Excellent for camping and car shows. Stored all winter.
I will get a picture up of the engine compartment soon. I have to move 6 cars to get this one out so you'll understand why my pics arent that great.
History: This car used to be a 4 dr wagon. It was stripped to the frame and customized from there by Joe, a brilliant fabricator, with over 30 years experience. The way he made the suicide doors was ingenius, however I'm sworn to secrecy. lol The rear doors were taken completely off and a inner and outer structure built in their place. So there are no mudded up door seams like you find in some other vehicles. The pictures I have aren't so good, but the body is totally straight.
Although its a frame off restoration, there is no fancy motor, tranny, or rear end. Everything in the drive train is stock, or close to it. The interior was done before I met Joe. That could be a good thing because I would have put neon green flames on the seat covers. Between the two of us we get a little nuts. The seats are original, bench in front with a folding rear. All black pleats.

The gas tank door is hidden on inside rear cargo wall
