Offered for sale is this rare 1966 Impala Big Block 2 door sport coupe.
I will describe this car the best as I can with accurate and honest information. Please email me with any questions to be sure you understand exact info...do not assume anything.
- This car is a two owner, West Texas car.
- 396 V8 - rebuilt w/ elec. ign. and hi-perf parts - Not the original block. ENGINE PAD ID = T1021TLM
- 4- Speed - Orig. Muncie "Rock Crusher" w/ hurst shifter and ivory knob.
- 12-bolt rear end
- Orig black interior with bench seat. New carpet and headliner.
- Factory in-dash Tachometer
- New 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipes and dynomax mufflers
- 17" Corvette wheels with new tires
- 1960's era Stewart-Warner triple gauge set
- No a/c, no power brakes, no power steering .... ALL Muscle!!
- Original big drum brakes
- The car was stripped down to bare metal and acid washed. Then proper primers applied and body work was done to massage the body to better than new condition. All chrome with exception of the 396 badges was removed. The bumpers have been welded up for seamless appearance. The paint is Dupont bc/cc Chroma-Premier GM11 - white.
- Underside was stripped clean and undercoated with rubberized truck bed liner. This makes for a great sound deadener!
- Over 1000 hours were spent restoring this car. All work done by professionals and big $$ was spent bringing this car to this point.
This car is in very good condition, but not a 100 point show car. The engine fires right up and sounds very strong. I have not driven the car more than a couple of miles. I have not done any mechanical work on the car, only the cosmetics. I suggest going through the brakes, suspension, etc before any long trips or high performance driving.
