You are bidding on a great project car with nearly everthing done but light bodywork and paint. This is clearly within the realm of the do it yourselfer! 1966 chevy nova hardtop in great shape. The car was originally a 6 cylinder california car. The car comes with a set of black california plates. A code date correct 283 from 1966 was purchased in San Diego and was completely rebuilt by a machine shop. The motor has forged pistons .30 over, new rings, rods mains, oil pump. Crank was polished and is stock. The heads were ordered new from arrowhead heads and are 58cc 194/1.52 with stainless steel valves, chrome moly push rods,3/8 screw in studs. The cam shaft, lifters, intake and carb are all a kit from edelbrock. The distributor is a new HEI. The motor also has a pete jackson gear drive all new 8mm wires and all alum pulleys and a alum radiator with a flex fan and a electric fan on out side of radiator. The motor has a new 6 quart oil pan and a CVR starter. The headers are summit along with new summit aluminized exhaust the runs out behind rear wheels. All good and correct high dollar parts were used. The motor has been broke in properly and runs great with a loppy idle. Sounds good. The whole front clip was taken off car and soda blasted bare and repainted black. All new bolts were installed along with new front suspension parts. Most all suspension parts are new including brake lines and brakes. New springs and stoppers were also used. All the bolts are grade 8 hardware. The transmission is a turbo 350 that was taken to a transmission shop and completely gone through including a new 2000 stall converter. The trans dip stick is Lokar stainless and the shiter is B&M mega shifter. The wheels are 14 x 7 ralleys with almost new B.F Goodrich TA's. The interior was redone in black and gray. New door panels front and rear along with the bench seat and rear seat in black with gray inserts. Headliner is new and gray and the seat belts are 4 point harness's. The interior including carpet was put in about 1 and a half years ago. The dash and dash pad are in great shape and have never been cut or modified. The car was painted a bright maroon several years ago but the clear started to peel so thats why the car was completely pulled apart and redone. There was a little rust under back window and the whole piece was replaced and done professionally. There was a rust spot in front of passenger side rear wheel. This was removed and a new section welded in correctly. There is no rust in floor boards or under car or in trunk. See pictures. The paint was soda blasted and stripped off rear quarters and deck lid. Doors are unstripped and front fenders had been partially stripped and then primed to prevent rust. The front fenders and doors are in great rust free shape. This car is excellent shape for a 1966 nova. This car needs to only be painted. All hard body work is done and done right. This car just needs final touches and paint. The car has a brand new 2 inch cowl induction hood put on the car. All the stainless and emblems come with the car and are in good to driver shape. The bumpers are in driver shape. They are straight and chrome is fair. The car also has the chrome rocker panels that go under doors on non ss models in fair to good shape. The rear end is a 10 bolt with I beleive 3.08 gears in good shape. The car has new break lines ran to rear of car along with new brakes less than a year old. This car is an excellent car for some one who doesnt want to spend 20-30 thousand on a finished car that your not sure what was done. This car needs paint and you will be able to see all work done and have the color you want. I dont have to tell you what this car is worth painted.
