1979 CHEVY G20 PATHFINDER 4X4 CARGO VAN
Van is located in NW Pennsylvania
Fellow Ebayers and Vanners! Up FOR auction is a MONSTER 1979 Chevrolet 4x4 G20 Pathfinder Van. Let me start by saying that this van has under gone a considerable restoration and needs very little to complete. I purchased this van a few years ago to haul around my son's drums and band pa equipment. Shortly after purchasing it I began fixing it up....well actually rebuilding it would be a better way of describing what has been done. Actual milage is unknown!
All work on this van was done by professionals. This is not a shade tree build up. The van started life as a search and rescue vehicle for a vol fire company. I drove six hours one way just to buy it. Since owning it, I have completely replaced the floor, front to rear with new flat metal, all the windows have been removed and new sheet metal put in place. The quarters panels have been partial replaced with new metal, front, slider and rear doors have all been replaced. New front fenders installed and a fiberglass hood with scoop and visor installed. The roof of this van is about the only original metal left on the van. This body work was all done by Mitcham Street Rods and Resto from Meadville, PA. Mitcham has won many awards for his work on street rods and this van was his last project before closing. The exterior of the van is super super straight and just needs a paint job to finish it off. This van is super solid! It is currently in epoxy primer.
Secondly, All new weather strips have been installed on the doors. The door jambs and door interiors have all been painted, Triple black. A new windshield has been installed, The door glass has been replaced and new seals and fuzzies installed. The wing vent windows have also been replaced and newer seals installed as well. All door locks work. A tilt wheel has been installed. Custom captain chairs are installed up front and a matching sofa/bed seat installed in the back. This sofa will recline into a bed with the touch of an electrical switch. A Kick ass 2 amp stereo/cd system is also installed.
Lastly, the spare tire has been mounted on the rear door along with a ladder to reach the roof. There still is a bunch of new and used parts still to be put on this van. I just installed a matching overhead console in it. Included in the sale is new fender emblems including the pathfinder ones! Full size blueprints for making interior door and wall panels. A new pair of driving lights where just bumper mounted, original tires and wheels. {the tires are like new} A new pair of custom fender flares, new front carpet and new rubber mat for front floor is also included plus many more things which I can not think of right now!
The van has a 350 motor, I just installed an aluminum intake and rebuilt 650 Holley carb a few weeks back. A turbo 350 tranny and new dual exhaust out the back. The van also has been lifted with new springs up front / blocks in the back and all new shocks! The van is very stable going down the road and demands attention where ever it goes. So why am I selling it??? Well my son is now in college and semi retired from drumming right now. The wife and I are struggling with college payments and selling the van would help to pay for some tuition. Please feel free to call with questions 814-720-4521 or email. I have over 25k invested in this van and I would like to get at least half of my investment back. This van is located in NW Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh, South of Erie, PA. Happy Bidding! I may consider a trade of equal value? write or call with your best offers!!!!
