This 1968 Super Sport comes with numbers matching block and heads. The casting number on the block is 3935440 dated C-20-8. The numbers on the front of the motor are T0416MX and 18N425338. The casting numbers on the heads are 3917215 dated C-11-8 and C-12-8. The motor is standard bore with small ridges at top of the cylinders. The heads are stock with valves in them. That is all I have of the motor. The reason it is out of the car is because the cam went bad and the car sat for a long time. I bought the car and put a 1967 396/325 h.p. motor in it that runs great. It starts right up, doesn't smoke or tick, and has 55 to 75 pounds of oil pressure. The transmission is a muncie 4-speed with a new clutch, throwout bearing, and flywheel. The 12 bolt rear is freshly rebuilt. It has 3.73 gears with new bearings, seals, shims, and crush sleeve. The body is in excellant condition with no rust or bubbles anywhere. It is painted Dusk Blue with basecoat/clearcoat. The interior is in great shape, Black Bucket Seats, New Door Panels and Carpet. New Dash Pad, It has an am/fm radio and oil,water,and volt gages. The framerails, trunk, shock towers, and everything else under the car is solid and rust free. Over the winter I had nearly everything under the hood replaced: ( heater core, every belt and hose, water pump, voltage regulator, starter selonoid, plugs, battery, headlights, etc...) It also has new Front Disc Brakes and shocks up front. It has a complete MSD ignition system, Power Steering, Demon carb, Flowtech ceramic headers, and Flowmaster Exhaust. The headlights, taillights, and marker lights all function like they should. The key buzzer even works. It is ready for summer !
