THIS AUCTION IS FOR A 1969 CHEVELLE SS396 THAT NEEDS A COMPLETE RESTORATION. GREAT INVESTMENT CONDITION. ORIGINAL 396 MOTOR, 400 AUTO TRANS. AND 12 BOLT REAR HAS BEEN REMOVED BY FORMER OWNER. I DO NOT HAVE A DRIVESHAFT. I HAVE A 400 TRANS IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED. ASK FOR DETAILS. CAR HAS A 10 BOLT REAR.

FORMER OWNER TOOK BODY TAG PLATE OFF CAR TO PREVENT THEFT. IT'S AUTHENTIC TO MY KNOWLEDGE. I TOOK A PICTURE OF IT IN POSITION ON TOP OF FIREWALL. EVERYTHING LOOKS TO MATCH -PAINT,BODY SEALER AND DIVETS OF ATTACHMENT HOLES. ALL I CAN SAY IS ,IF THIS A PROBLEM TO ANYONE? DON'T BID. I CAN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT SOMEONE REMOVED IT. JUST WANT TO BE HONEST.

On May-13-08 at 07:08:34 PDT, seller added the following information:

I am letting everyone know there is a 1 number typo on the title. The Vin # on the car is 136379B386336 not 136179B386336 like it says in the auction. The part of the Vin # which is B386336 is correct. This is the main serial # for the car, so there is no doubt this is the correct title. I am sorry for any problems this has caused. I am going to let the auction run it's course in case anyone is interested in the car if you want to remove your bid that is fine. The number that is wrong is the 4th digit which is the body style code. In my Chevelle code book it states that the 17 and 37 both stand for the same thing "2 Dr Sport Coupe". So it doesn't change anything about the car it is still a 1969 SS Chevelle it is just a typo on the title which can be fixed it will just take a little while to get the new title. I went to the local DMV and called the main office in Trenton. They told me it is an easy fix ;however, title needs to be in my name. With an out of state title, this process can take 8 weeks because it gets mailed. I am still in possession of the title with the typo just in case anyone is still interested in buying the car this way or putting a deposit on the car and waiting for the new title to finish the purchase.
