This car is powered by a 327ci V8 w/ 250 H.P. We have The original Order Sheet, Bill of sale, Build Sheet, protect-o-plate, Owners manual, Original T-Tag, and much more for the Chevy. In the summer of 1969 the original owner took this car to Sears to have Air Conditioning Installed. We have all of the Paper work, the Little Sears A/C sticker, We have the original Hose, and fan that were taken off of the Caprice when the A/C was installed. We have the original master cylinder. The car retains its Orignal Plugs, (orange over spray on them) and wires from 68. You can see the Chalk marks on the fire wall. The only item that looks to have been repainted underneath the hood is the air cleaner. It has a 100% Original, and Nearly MINT interior. Those Clear Plastic Seat Covers were installed on the front and rear seats when New and Only Recently removed after fadding to yellow color. This kept the interior in great shape over the years. The ONLY flaw in the interior is under the original passenger floor mat where the heater core must have leaked at one time and stained the carpet. The Glass is perfect in the car. Everything works perfectly. The annoying Door Buzzer still bothers. The car drives and handles Tight as can be. The trunk still has its original mat, spare tire, jack, Jack sticker on the underside of the deck lid, and origianl spackle paint. The chrome and bright work is nearly perfect. All of the lights work. We have the skirts, Original Wheels and hubcaps. There is debate over the tires. We think they are the second set being that they are Dunlop Brand. (I am personally not sure). As for the body and underbody. The Car is Very solid and Clean. We are selling the car the way we found it. I was going to clean it up, wire brush it, sand it clean, and then paint it black underneath. We were also going to add Headers and Dual Exhaust. But We have decided to leave it as original as possible. I guess it in not a true survivor because it has had some paint and touch up over the years. But it is certainly a very cool find. The story goes that the women scraped the side of the garage with the car on the passenger side. It was fixed, and then she did it again. It has been this way ever since. Basically has to scrapes on the passenger side. Dont forget this is not a restored Chevy. There are some Dings, Dents, Scratches, and stone Chips on the car. We know the family history of this car. We know some of the family members of the original owners. The car began life not far from here in Johnstown. We have signed odometer statements that certify the miles, We have a Copy of past Titles with the miles on it. When the current title comes back from Penn Dot it will most likely say Exempt Mileage because of age. (typical of older PA vehicles that leave PA and Come Back to the state).
