I have never been a truck guy, but I wanted to build one to haul parts for my other projects. I originally wanted a 67-72 body, but none were available at the time. I bought this truck a little over a year ago and sat on it for the first six months before I started any type of rebuild. The truck is a solid 77 model short wheel base with a lot of new parts. The truck is still in the Project phase and needs very little to make it a good daily driver. The truck has a Fresh 350 with a four bolt main and newly rebuilt Turbo 350 Transmission with less than 90 miles on both... most of the miles are from short trips and there are a few hours of run time for engine tuning and cam break in. The truck has had over $6,000 invested in the past 6 months and is well on it's way to being complete. I found a 68 model short bed this past week and I need to sell this truck to start the build on this new project. I am only selling this truck for this reason... I have invested a lot of time and money in this project and would NOT sell it otherwise. The long list of new parts is below as well as the short list of problems still to be corrected. Please serious bidders only... I can send more photos and would be happy to answer any questions if needed. The reserve is just over half of what has been invested and the truck is being sold as is, project form. Buyer is responsible for the shipping... tell me when and what method and I will make sure it gets on the delivery truck. |

This engine is a 93 model Chevy 350 with four bolt mains. The bottom end has been rebuilt by a machine shop and the engine has less then 90 miles on it and runs great! Most of the run time has been from tuning and adjusting, not much time on the road. It has Ceramic coated headers, a mild Edelbrock cam, and a 65,000 volt HEI distributor. The bottom end is solid... this engine is begging for a larger cam and a good set of heads. The only problem I have had with the engine is an oil leak from the front seal on the timing cover (the spring that holds the seal tight around the crank shaft may be broken) and the power steering pump belt squeeks at high rpms. |
