You are viewing a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This Chevy is unrestored and is being sold as a "project" or "parts" car with "NO RESERVE", high bid will own it!
The body itself is very good with the exception of the rust spots that have developed on the lower fender heels, both fenders will need replaced. Passenger door has small spots of repairable rust on both lower corners. There are no signs of any major accidents, besides the rust spots the body is very straight. The trunk lid lock needs replaced, it does not close. Both 1/4 panels are solid. There is some rust on the trunk floor, there are a few spots that are weak and need patched (see pic). Floors and rockers are solid. Rear window gasket needs replaced. Front bumper chrome is flaking off.
Windshield needs replaced, all other glass is intact, clean and clear.
Interior is all there and complete, a litttle better than an average unrestored car of this year. Drivers door panel, glove box lock and carpet need replaced. This Monte does have the desirable automatic center shift console.
Mechanically, the stock 350 runs great, BUT, the flexplate is cracked and will need replaced before driving!! This is a factory A/C and P/S car.
Clean DMV record, not a salvage!! California registration was up in Feburary 2006, so some back fees will be due if it stays in Cali.
Bid to own, there is NO RESERVE on this Monte Carlo, and out of respect for all bidders, I will NEVER offer local or early sales on any of my listings, please do not email me asking to do so.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTIONS END, AND PICKED UP WITHIN 30 DAYS, NO EXCEPTIONS!
PLEASE VIEW THE PICS AND ASK QUESTIONS OR COME AND INSPECT IT BEFORE BIDDING!! This item can be viewed in person Monday-Saturdays, 7:30-4:30. Serious bidders please email for address/phone and directions. If you are unable to view the vehicle in person, please email for my number and I will go over the vehicle with you completely and answer all your questions and concerns. As you can tell from my 100% perfect feedback, I am honest and very accurate in all my descriptions and I want every bidder to know exactly what they are getting and be happy with their purchases from me, I have been in the autobody industry for most of my life and do know what I am looking at, I also know others may see things differently, and realize the possibility of overlooking something when describing a "project" vehicle, so communication is important!!! Please ask questions or for specific pictures if needed or come by and take a look at it.
If you have 0 feedback, please contact me prior to bidding, not to be harsh, but I have had too many new bidders fail to make contact and pay for their purchases lately and I'm trying to weed out the Jokers. If you don't contact me I will cancel your bid, sorry! If you have negative feedback for non-payment, or non-payment strikes please don't bother to bid at all, I will just cancel it.
As with all project cars, I advise towing or trailering and checking everything, brakes, fluids, lights, etc, before driving, most of the cars I have were in storage for a number of years.
