Vehicle Description This is Malibu ice! In 1964 Chevrolet built the first Malibu SS. In 2008 Rod Tech, the premier custom car builder in Hall, New York, rebuilt that same Malibu into what is now the most beautiful Malibu in the world! We debuted this masterpiece at the 2008 Detroit Autorama and it was the most photographed car there. Rod Tech started with a nearly rust free vehicle. Art Morisson Chassis in Oregon provided the custom made stage 3 chassis which became the foundation for the complete new build. Attached to that frame is a GM ZL-1 polished aluminum big block with Edelbrock fuel injection. This 632hp jewel is connected to a Tremic 5 speed transmission. With Bon Speed wheels and Nitto rubber, she cruises smoothly and gently on air suspension with a crystal clear view through the hand formed glass. Conceived by Mark Rasmussen, commissioned by Dave and Marjory Hall and built to Marks' standards, Malibu ice became the "car with attitude". There are thousands of hours in hand formed sheet metal, custom moldings and exquisite paint. The upholstery is hand selected Euro hides that are as soft as kitten fur. No expense was spared to bring this girl to life. We showed Malibu ice at Detroit. So the new owner will have the opportunity to take ice to all the show venues and proudly display this truly sweet ride, as well as revel in any magazine articles that come out. We were proud to play a part in preserving this beautiful car. We hope you will enjoy it too.
