You are bidding on a NICE 1988 Chevrolet k5 blazer with the 350 V8.
Exterior:
This baby is huge with an 8 inch lift and 37 inch nito mud grapplers! The tire and rim combination on this baby cost around 3 grand! The Monster has a nice cowl induction hood that allows for hot air to breathe out the top. It has a brand new windshield and weatherstripping all the way around. The blazer has fresh paint as well. Nice Glossy blue with clear coated finish. Looks very nice!! Has a grill guard on the front. I had 16, thats right, 16 130 watt Lights installed all the way around the roof rack. It basically looks like an assault vehicle. There is a brand new top of the line biggest battery money can buy (Duralast Professional Series) in the front left of the engine compartment that pushes power to the lights. There are three batteries all together hooked up. One for the truck, one for the stereo, and one for the lights. There are brand new altezza rear tail lights just installed. I had a custom drive shaft made for the front and had 488 gears installed in both differentials. This really gave it some extra pep that was taken after the lift was added. It has a new air filter added as well. I did not add the K&N air filter b/c out here in west texas the dirt is so fine it gets sucked right through the high flow air filters. With this off road machine you're much better off with the generic paper filters. I have never taken it off road. I've babied this truck since day one. It runs GREAT and shifts hard like it should. The 350 definitely has some pep to it. I would trust this baby to make it on any road trip (if you can afford the gas!) She's been my everyday driver and its getting to the point where i'd like to keep my money a little longer. lol
Has a Flowmaster Exhaust setup as well. Not too loud so you dont have to worry about being obnoxious. You can let the sound system do that! :)
Interior/Audio:
The carpet is in ok condition and the seats are fair. The dash has cracks in it as do just about every chevy around these years. There are four switches on the front of the console that turn the lights on by each side and front and back. The speedometer is 10mph over the actual speed due to the gears and lift. I've tried getting the highest driven gear with the most number of teeth to fix this but thats as close as i could get. All the gauges work which is amazing b/c i've owned another Blazer similar to this that just couldn't seem to keep the speedo or the gas gage working. There are 2 12 inch subs in the rear with a thousand watt Crunch amp under the passenger seat that lights up when the stereo is turned on and a 2 thousand watt american bass cheater amp under the driver seat. (The cheater amp allows you to enter your 2000 watt amp into 100 watt contests.) The deck is very nice and allows for mp3, wmv, ipod plug in, sirius sat, and allows for hookup to dvd player as well. It has the motion graphics when turned on that is very nice. There are two component systems. One in the front doors and one in the rear in front of the back seat. There are 2 four by sixes in the rears. The highs are amazing and the bass is so loud when i pull up next to the dorms here at Tech my friends can feel when i drive up. She's definitely a head turner and I get looks and thumbs up from people everywhere I go. The little kids always seem to wave and stare. You will not be disappointed with this truck!
The Truck is for sale locally and i reserve the right to end the auction early due to it being sold before auction ends. I'm selling due to the fact that its time for me to move out of my parents house. I need something more economical. I've put thousands of dollars into this baby and had planned on making it a show truck, but just have the time anymore.
It does not leak oil or anything. Had a really bad transfer case leak out of the back tailhousing that has been fixed. She runs like a dream. The oil has just recently been changed. I've tried to do my best in describing the vehicle but I'm sure there are plenty of things i've forgotten to say so if you have any questions please feel free to call me (Bracken) at 806-239-9837 or email through the ask the seller a question button.
Due to many questions regarding the Sound System, I am willing to lower the cost by $500.00 and take out the subs and amps. All offers will be considered. So please, dont hesitate.
