Vehicle Description

For Sale: 1971 Chevy Malibu.
This car would make a great project car. I purchased it in 2003 and drove it from Kansas to Arkansas. I then started doing some work on the vehicle about 5 years ago, and it has not been put back together since then (bought a 1970 Cutlass). Most of the new parts listed below were put on the vehicle about 5 years ago, and it has not been driven with the new parts on. I have this stored out in a garage on some land I has been garage kept the entire time I have had it.
I did do quite a bit of work but it definitely needs some work and finishing touches. Here is what I have done:
*New starter
*New alternator
*New ball joints
*New wheel bearings
*New drums & brake shoes
*New brake hose and lines
*Transmission fluid flushed and refilled
*Wheels aligned
*New fuel tank, straps and sender unit (not on car)
*New front and rear coil springs
*New battery cable and tray
*New tie rods
*New center link
*Paint gasket set (not on car)
*New master cylinder and water pump
*I have receipts for $3,425 in parts.
*I went underneath the car and completely sanded/scraped the entire underside of the vehicle. It was then coated with POR15 and repainted.
*I then stripped out the inside, took all the seat s out and door panels. I sanded and scraped the inside and painted with POR15.
*The outside of the vehicle does have some rust spots. Their is bubbling around the trunk area, underneath the chrome along the back side, back corners, and front fenders. See pics for details.
*The front and back chrome bumper are in good shape.
*The seats, interior plastic moldings, dash and doors panels are not re-installed.They are kind of old but I think salvageable. I am selling this car as is. You get all of the uninstalled parts.
*I am confident you can put the gas tank back on and it will run. The engine ran great before I started this project, and has not been started since I removed the gas tank.
This vehicle is sold as is. Like I said, it needs some work, but it has a good start. You will need to come pick this car up as I stated, it does not currently run. I live in Rogers, Arkansas
The engine is a 307. No reserve. Please let me know of any questions! Thanks!
