Description This is a rare, unmolested 1972 Chevy Chevelle Malibu D37 with only 10,900 miles!! It would make the perfect project car. Clone her into an SS 396, an SS 454, or a Malibu 400. With the right V8, a Muncie 4 Speed, and a 12 bolt rear end, this could be a real street monster! Or keep the original dash and trim, put in a V8 and drive it as a sleeper! No one will know that you've switched out that 6 cylinder for a beefier V8 (until all they see are your tail lights!). The car has only had two owners and neither one drove it very often. It has been garage kept for most of its life. Just about everything on this car is original--paint, vinyl roof, and interior are all original. The muffler, plugs, points, air and oil filter have been replaced. That's it. The car has power steering. There are no air conditioning or power brakes. What makes this car so unique are the low miles for such a rare car. Most cars like this in good shape have 80K miles or more! If you are looking at it, then you already know that this car is the perfect candidate for a drive train restoration, add some wild Yenko or Balwin Motion parts, an LS5 or LS6 motor (or any small block or big block for that matter), a great transmission, a 12 bolt rear end, and a quality dual exhaust system, and this thing will be a grandma ride no more!
Condition
Car is in Excellent Condition 10,900 miles Original Paint Original Interior Tires new white walls from 2003 (200 miles on tires) There is some minor rust behind each wheel well (see pic), as well as a small spot near the top of the trunk. The door seals are near perfect, and the factory decal stickers in the trunk and inside the door look near new. I noticed two minor paint chips near rear driver side bumper corner, too small for an accurate picture. The car idles low after starting and owner tells me it could use a new spring for the choke. Owner reports good transmittion, exhaust system, engine, steering, and brakes.
