This auction is for a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker in very restorable condition:
It does NOT run, but all the parts are there to fix it. It was 'worked' on by someone who wasn't a mechanic sometime in the early sixties. I have no idea what might be wrong with the motor, but everything is still in the car to put it back together right down to the original fan belts.
The body is in amazing condition, probably due to how long ago it was decommissioned. It does have a couple of rusty spots but with a little sand paper you could fix most of it easily. I have all of the chrome parts not on the car in the pics including two new headlight covers stored inside of it except for the rear bumper.. It's missing altogether. There is NO TITLE with this vehicle, but I will sign a bill of sale as I've owned the car for about fifteen years.
The interior is in fairly good shape except for the driver's seat that's patched with tape and the stains on the rear seat. The dash board is complete right down to the original radio and push button shifter (on the left) and the passenger side analog clock. The chrome is not pitted inside or out. It would be really easy to restore and they're worth a mint when done, I just don't have the time to tinker with it anymore.
The winning bidder will have to have the car towed from my yard but there's no hurry so if you need time after the auction, no problem. Cash after the auction or paypal is prefered, but I will take a check as long as it clears before you take the car away. I can recommend a reputable towing company and I have shipped several vehicles out of state so I can even help with the logistics.
This thing is being sold as a project, restoration , parts car or whatever. as stated, it doesn't run and there is no title.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
