1961 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door hardtop. This car was recently found stored in a barn for the last 25 years, last date registered was 1983. The rear dealer license plate frame is out of Woodland (Sacramento, CA area) and the car has been located in this area since purchased new. This appears to be an original California dry climate car and I have found no signs of cancerous rust. I believe the motor is a 361 V8 Wedge. Has power windows, power seats, air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. This car has aged well over the years and still looks good and is very solid. The interior and sun visors have been covered in plastic probably since new (the rear seat bottom plastic was removed to show how well the seats look). The dash is in very good condition with no signs of cracks. The headliner is also in very good condition. The door panels are good but shows signs of aging. All of the chrome is straight and shines well. All of the glass appears crack free and also appears to be original to the car. The speedometer shows under 11000 miles and I would assume that it has turned over once and is not the original mileage, but not 100% certain. Unknown if it runs/drives as I will leave that up to the winning bidder to bring the car up to date mechanically. This is a nice survivor car that has been in a time capsule the last 25+ years and would make a great restoration or collector candidate. No signs of any serious damage, metal replacement, or repaint. Clear old style California pink slip included with the sale.
