1966 Chrysler 300 Hot-rod 2 door hardtop, PS, PB, bucket seats, console/floor shifter, with approx 425 horsepower and an additional 100-150 nitrous shot for a neck-jarring ~575 horses. This car was bought from the original owner 15+ years ago in Vista CA & she still has the original black/yellow plates. The current engine is a 440 out of a wrecked 1968 Chrysler 300 and was rebuilt with some of the best parts available. The rebuild is a mild street version of the original; .020 over, stock 10.25 compression ratio, but with lighter & stronger parts so it revs faster and frees up horsepower, it was balanced and the original 906 heads were rebuilt with hardened valve seats (for unleaded gas) and stainless steel valves. Exact part details & receipts are available, just ask : ] The transmission is the infamous and virtually indestructible 727 automatic. The rear end is the original 8.75" with a "489" case, 4:10 gears & a Richman locker. The driveshaft is a custom built 3.5" bulletproof unit. The nitrous system is a NOS Top Shot and includes a purge kit, bottle warmer, remote open valve, and gauges. The car is about 80% completed, but it's something you can drive while you finish it. She could use taller tires (original 14"), a decent exhaust system, and disk brakes. This car always turns heads and you can count on being the only hot-rodded one at a car show. The paint is acceptable, more of a 5-10 foot car and it does have a little rust, (have pics) but nothing terminal. As with all projects I have a fortune invested, $6000 in the engine alone, but that’s how it goes, I need the room and have way too many cars/projects. The original 383 blew a head gasket years ago, but is included with the sale. Buyer responsible for picking up or shipping of vehicle. Vehicle is in San Diego CA. |
