VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

1971 Datsun 240Z 2 seater Coupe - 5 Speed manual - all original numbers matching car - local car with extensive service records going back over 30 years! - same family owned since new - no rust and in amazing original condition - most of these 240Zs have been resurected from rusty project car - NOT THIS 240! - although not a garage queen this 240Z is very respectable and presentable with no rust (with the exception of one small pin hole in the driver floor pan - see photo) and a very tidy original interior - the exterior has been repainted many years ago to a good standard and the interior appears totally original - runs and drives well but at this point would make a great driver or with some sympathetic time and attention could become a very special car - remember rust is the enemy of early Japanese sports cars and this car is very clean - please call with questions 1 810 720 2020

The Nissan S30 (sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z and in other markets as the Datsun 240Z and later as the 260Z and 280Z) was the first generation of Z sporty 2+2 coupes produced by Nissan Motors, Ltd. of Japan from 1969 to 1978. It was designed by a team led by Mr. Yoshihiko Matsuo, the head of Nissan's Sports Car Styling Studio. HLS30 was the designation of the left-hand drive model and HS30 for the right-hand drive model. Production began in 1969. The 1970 240Z was introduced to the American market by Yutaka Katayama, president of Nissan Motors USA operations, widely known as Mr. K. The early 1970 model 240Z had a chrome "240" badge on the B-pillar quarter panel. Two vents were included in the rear hatch below the glass molding. In mid-1971 the B-pillar side badges were restyled with the letter Z in white, and the vents were eliminated from the hatch. Design changes for the U.S. model occurred throughout production.

Fee and Tax Information: Michigan residents will have to pay 6% sales tax plus title ($15) and plate fees. Out of state buyers will need to contact their DMV for tax and plate information.
