1970 Datsun 240Z

This 240Z was completely restored by an authorized Nissan dealership (Courtesy Nissan of Richardson, Texas) in 1997. Just over 4,000 miles have been logged on the car since its completion. This is one of the best Datsun 240Z cars in the Southwest. Nissan implemented a classic Z restoration program in 1996 to honor the Z-series. An estimated 200 240Z cars were selected to undergo a factory fresh restoration. Only 37 or 38 of the original 200 cars were completed. A local Dallas radio station, KLUV oldies, was hired to help kick off the Vintage Z program in the state of Texas. KLUV was the first to purchase the Fully Restored 1970 Datsun 240Z for the promotion. This car was restored before any of the dealerships received their cars. By the way, the promotion was that KLUV would give away this beautifully restored 240Z to a local listener. Only 10 Nissan certified dealerships were selected nationwide to stock factory reconditioned classic Nissan/Datsun Z cars in their showrooms.

 This car is factory equipped with power brakes, air conditioning, 4 speed manual transmission, L24 block / E31 cylinder head, and rear defroster. It has been correctly restored in its factory color combination of white with bright blue interior.

The exterior shows quality paint and trim throughout. The restoration by Courtesy Nissan was done superbly. This is a car that can be driven anywhere without worry. It is both mechanically and cosmetically in excellent condition. This 240Z features the original Datsun wheel covers.

The stance on this vintage 240Z reminds you of why these cars are famous. This is your chance to own a piece of automotive history. The Japanese 240Z is one of the most successful sports cars of all time. 

Seldom seen is this factory blue interior. It compliments the white finish tremendously.

The engine compartment is clean and detailed throughout. The original block retains the correct cylinder head. It was completely overhauled during the restoration and performs as thus. When you are in the drivers seat of this car and you open the throttle, this is an exilerating automobile. The early carburated 240Zs run much better than the later smog- equipment laden versions.

The factory blue interior is very nice. Not many of these early 240Z's were fitted with blue interior. The gauges are all operational in this Z car. It is factory optioned with air conditioning. An Alpine CD stereo with Ipod connectivity has been added for driver comfort. This car is also optioned with the rear defroster.

The undercarriage leaves no doubt that this has always been a dry climate car. The floorpans and trunk pan are excellent, as is the suspension and components. This Z drives as new.
