I don't have the time to properly give this car the "refreshing" it needs. It's one of the last of the "small bumper" 260Z's. It was manufactured in July, 1974 and was first sold in September, 1974 at Walnut Creek Datsun, Walnut Creek, California in September 1974. I have the original owners manual and warranty booklet. Also included is a 1974 service manual.
The car has no rust and has spent all its time in California and Arizona. It does need to have the interior updated and it could use a paint job. Mechanically the car is in excellent shape. The previous owner replaced the flat top carbs with the Arizona Z car four barrel intake manifold with a Carter 600 CFM four barrel carburetor. The car has a rebuilt cylinder head, new valve cover and new header and muffler. Also it has a 1977 distributor and GM ignition module. The water pump has been replaced, the automatic transmission was flushed and the rear end replaced with an R-200 differential. All hoses were replaced at the fuel pump and a new sending unit and electric fuel pump were installed. It has a Motorsport four row radiator with shroud and electric fan, new air conditioning compressor, new interior fan motor, new 60-amp alternator, new ball joints, new shocks and struts, new brake pads and shoes. It has new door weatherstrips and a radio w/cassette and new speakers.
The car also comes with two spare bumpers and a spare automatic transmission. This car truly just needs some cosmetic work to make it a real winner.
