real R/T, real 4-speed, real track pack car, numbers matching engine, pistol-grip shifter, tic-toc-tach, 8-track radio, front disc brakes, etc.

You don’t see this car, this well optioned, very often.

This is my 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. It is a true 4-speed car with original Dana 60 rear end. This is a track-pack car and originally had 3.54 but now has 3.73 rear end. Original gears come with the car. It has numbers matching engine and A833 hemi manual trans. The condition is crisp and excellent with attention to detail. Just shy of rotisserie. Factory undercoat was good and left intact. This car has all its original sheet metal and is extremely solid. All body lines are crisp as you would expect from an original car like this one. Over $40,000 in restoration receipts over the last 15 years. Much more spent but don't have all receipts. Over 40 trophies including 15 best of shows over the last four years verifying car's condition. Considering this car was restored 15 years ago, this is a testament to how it has been cared for.

How many R/T 4 speeds do you find with the numbers matching engine still between the fenders? Stamped VIN# is easily seen and verified by looking at the passenger side of the block above the oil pan. If you can’t verify the numbers, than I will refund all your money upon request at time of pick-up.

This car is loaded with factory options listed on original window sticker. Disc brakes, power brakes, console, leather seats, 6 way factory seat, 4 speed manual, tinted glass, left side remote mirror, locking gas cap, sill moldings, tick-tock-tach, 8 track radio (not pictured but now installed and is beautiful and working), power steering, sport wheel, bumblebee stripe, chrome rallye wheels.

This car comes with more original literature and receipts than I have ever seen. Includes original window sticker, bill of sale, broadcast sheet, assembly line check list, complete owner history from day 1, receipts from 1970 on. Compulsive documentation of mods from 1970's including race history of wins losses (over 40 drag times and win/loss record including list of cars it ran against. Pics of car from 1970s on including race pics with light tree. Pics of the car as a 1980s custom with pirate murals and tuck 'n roll interior. A huge box of documents and receipts. Most documented car I have ever seen.

Body is very solid and looks great. Car was originally white and is now curious yellow w/light silver metallic. The car looks fantastic. It won best paint at a show recently. Amazing considering the car was painted in 1991. True testament to how the car has been maintained. All body lines are great and any paint issues that would have arisen are already visible. No surprises 6 months from now. Paint is not perfect and has some small imperfections common in a car that is driven. Overall, very good. A strong 8.5-9 out of ten. A definite eye catcher; it is always the brightest car with the largest crowd. No rust.

Interior is beautiful. All seats and door panels are new. Console is very good w/small crack in rear top as most do. All gauges work and are refaced. Over $1000 spent on 8 track and bezel. A hidden audio system w/remote is hidden in console with a 10 disc changer in glove compartment. Some interior pics still show old cd in dash. The eight track is back and working.  Over $600 spent restoring the woodgrain wheel. It is beautiful. Headliner is perfect. Installed pistol grip shifter with actual wood handle. People love the pistol grip. Interior is great; nothing else to say about it. All new weather striping and felts.

Mechanicals are very good. Oil pressure is 60-80 on the highway and over 20 at idle and can be verified on mechanical gauge. Engine was rebuilt in the mid 90's and has under 10,000 miles. Brakes stop on a dime and all lights work. Shifts smoothly and sounds strong. Has line lock installed inside console for those rare race days.

Disc brakes in front with sway bars front and rear. Frame connectors were installed and kicker shocks on the rear axle. A very nice, tight car.

Some Disclosures:

Turn signals quit working recently and stereo cuts momentarily when brakes are applied. Headlights sometimes work and sometimes don’t lately. Vacuum doors work perfectly, but lights have been intermittent coming on recently.  All these issues were fine for the last five years and just started over the last two months. Must be a ground issue that will need to be traced, but I will leave that for the next guy.

I just recently removed the 6 pack set-up I had on the car that I’m keeping for another project. I replaced it with the original black crinkle air cleaner and original manifold with newer Holley Carb. Since swap the car has been running VERY rich and needs tuned or perhaps new carb. Still runs strong but does not run as it should. Was awsome with the 6 barrel which is being kept at this time.

Has oil leak from the pan. I have gotten by by torqueing down the pan bolts but it is time for a new pan gasket. Leaks maybe a quarter sized drop of oil over a two week period.

Had small patch panel (8"x8") installed in drivers floor 20 years ago. Probably should have fixed it when body was stripped and painted. Some surface discoloration on trunk floor under mat. Purely cosmetic at this point; must not have been prepped right. I can't seem to completely seal the back window. I gave up after 3 tries. It never sees rain and is only wet when washed.

Might be some minor things but I can't think of anything else. Please feel free to ask any questions. Reserve will be kept private and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. 912-247-1405
