| 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger with 318 motor. Mostly rebuilt car but needs to be finished. The interior has been painted but the roof, floor and seats have not been redone. The engine was totally rebuilt including bore to 30 over, heads rebuilt, ground crank, rods, bearings, rings, cam bearings, balance and more. Engine receipt from Heads By Paul of Inglewood, Colorado available. Mechanical replacements include Edlebrock 4-Barrel intake and carb, Accel distributor, alternator, radiator, starter, tierod ends, shocks, upper and lower ball joints, brakes, rebuilt cylingers and turned drums with repacked bearings with new seals. Complete transmission rebuild including torque converter by B&M Transmissions of Inglewood, Colorado receipt available. Rear fenders were replaced with Demon fenders to get the unique lines seen in the photos. The body had very little rust and that was cut out . The interior is in very good condition. The floor panels and doors and door sills are very solid. All gauges are intact and were working before starting the rebuild. The seats are solid and very rebuildable. The roof liner has been removed but the parts and hardware are there for refurbishing. Paint was PPG and was done in a professional booth however there are cracks in the roof and where joints are and the bondo did not adhere to the metal. Wheels are Centerline 15X8.5 rear and 15X7 front with Defender Sport SR tires, all new, never been run. Car is very straight and looks great. I have not been able to finish the car since our move from Colorado as I no longer have a shop or the people to help finish it. All trim and interior parts are in the trunk of the car which also is very clean and solid. I have invested nearly $8,000 in the car, but need to sell. I bought headers and tried to install them but they were for non-power steering cars and this one has power steering. I have not had the car running since I started the rebuild mostly because we changed it to electronic distributor and ignition but do not know what else has to be done to get ignition. |
