Fast Lane Classic Cars Inc. is very proud to offer this mostly original, 1st Year Produced, 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Convertible for sale.
This R/T Convertible is one of 196 produced in 1967.
For those of you who are looking at this auction already know what you're looking at,..so, we'll do our best to describe this car for your informed decision.
This is a very rare car in that this Coronet R/T is largely original with all documentation and an archaic mileage record. Very, very rare and in excellent condition every way possible.
The Exterior.
This is a rare find in that we believe the fenders, quarters and floors appear to be original. How often do you see that? They also look great and are very, very solid.
The R/T has been painted once it's original color, Medium Copper Metallic. Paint Code, TT1
The paint is very nicely applied and looks great. Near show quality with nice depth, clarity and reflections.
The painted body panels look to be original. The floors, quarters and fenders are nice and straight. I opened the gas door and found the factory stampings there too.
The exterior body emblems look to be original as does the front and rear grill inserts. There are mild imperfections to these exterior trim parts,..agian, the originals.
The doors, trunk and hood close well and have nice gap lines,..a very well balanced convertible.
The white convertible power top is in excellent condition as well. Power toggle switch up and down on the dash. The power top motor is excellent and responds quickly to the switch command.
Rear convertible glass is clear as are the rest of the glass panels.
This is a very well balanced car in every sense of the term.
This Coronet R/T is a mild restoration. Nothing to suprise you,..it's just plain NICE!
Please notice the correct rivets in the Vin Tag!
The Drive Train.
Correct Big Block Mopar Powered 440 with 375 Horses @ 4600 rpm's & 480 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm's!
The stamping on the engine tab reads 1 0 26 H P
Correct and most likely original radiator. Proper Stamping of 936.
The engine is sweet! Very nice in every way. Nice sound,..punch it,..and you're off.
The 440 is responsive to your throttle pressure. The acceleration is impressive. No odd noises, smells or any other engine quirks here. Truly a great Mopar Power Plant.
The engine is well tuned and should be considered to be in Drive home quality, no matter where you live. (the car does not float,.so overseas customers will have to ship it:)
The Transmission is the 727 Torqueflite. Nice shifting. Medium throttle pressure delivers a nice little second gear chrip from the rear tires. I love that sound!
The tranny is super. Clean and crisp shifting and down shifting at all speeds.
The rear end,..8 3/4,..294 Open.
Heavy Duty Suspension & brakes.
Excellent drive train,..Period!
The Interior.
Fantastic seating areas. No rips or tears. The seats sit very well,..nice, firm and comfortable.
The dash pad is the correct color,..it looks black in the pictures,..it's not black.
The carpeting is nice and very clean.
The center console is nice and still has a nice luster to the chrome.
The dash cluster is nice as are the knobs. The dash pad is equal in conditon.
The rear convertible boot is nice and is in full matching color to the rest of the interior.
Trim code P6K is correct.
