1967 Coronet 500- This car is all NEW FROM THE GROUND UP. It was all taken down to a shell and blasted and painted in 2004. Color is a 2001 Ford (mandarine copper metallic) and it shines like nothing else. All chrome along the side was deleted and holes welded up. Body is straight as an arrow, you will not find a 66 or 67 Coronet that is straighter!! Bumpers and all the 500 trim in back, emblems and letters have been rechromed, new door handles, new door lock set. Grille surrounds have all been re-anodized and polished and look brand new. Complete New weatherstriping.
Interior is all NEW. Seats, door panels, carpet, headliner, seat foam, seat spings, steering wheel, armrests. Existing pieces include console, dash pad(beautiful), gauges, dash parts. Dyno-mat has been installed on the floor boards to kill sound. Nice CD player has been installed in the glove box, with new speakers in the rear deck. Rear deck reupholstered in black naugahide.
Front suspension was rebuilt with all poly stuff. Everything taken apart and blasted or dipped and painted black. Very clean on the underside. Parts of the undercoating were scraped off and new applied. It has Magnum Force upper control arms, road racing torsion bars, anti sway bar. This is a very tight steering car. I also took out the old steering coupler and replaced it with a flaming river one. It is power steering.
Rear has been tubbed to the frame(some call it mini-tubbed). It looks stock to the untrained eye, which is what I wanted when I built the car. The rear super stock springs have been relocated inboard. 8 3/4 has been narrowed with re-splined axels and green bearings. A new sure grip with 3.55 gears has been put in. New gas tank and sending unit
Engine is a "73 340, 350HP fully rebuilt with an MP 484 lift cam, coated headers, Edelbrock RPM intake, MSD billet distributor, March serpentine pulleys, electric fan, Holley 750 carb, rebuilt 3 core radiator, K&N air filter and top. 3000 miles on the whole restoration. Built 727 Auto. with 2500 stall. Lokar trottle and kickdown linkage. New 3/8" stainless steel fuel line from the tank.
Brakes are Baer 13" disc front and rear, front have polished aluminum calipers. New 4 disc proportioning valve was installed. Brand new Hydratech- hydraulic brake booster just installed . Stainless steel brake lines. This car stops on a dime and gives you two nickles change!
Wheels & tires-- Front 17x7 Torq thrust w/ 235/40/17, Rear 17x11 Torq thrust w/ 335/35/17 (VIPER TIRES) Nice and WIDE!! This is a beautiful car, I get compliments everywhere I go. In the spring and summer I drive it alot, but NOT in the rain. It is not absolutly perfect, but 99%! Whoever buys this car will not be disappointed at all, it drives nice, sounds killer, and handles awesome.
