1968 DODGE DART GTS ORIGINAL BIG BLOCK PRO STREET CAR
THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN OUR FAMILY FOR A LONG TIME. I HAVE PERSONALLY PUT ALOT OF BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS INTO MAKING IT THE CAR YOU SEE HERE NOW. IT WAS MY FATHERS THAT WAS PASSED ONTO ME. I HAVE STARTED A BUSINESS AND HAVENT HAD ANY TIME TO ENJOY IT AT ALL RECENTLY. IT KILLS ME TO SEE IT SITTING IN THE GARAGE AND SINCE I WORK 7 DAYS A WEEK I DONT SEE MUCH USE COMING OUT OF THE DART. HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN AN AMAZING PRO STREET CAR AT A FRACTION OF WHAT IT WOULD COST TO BUILD ONE.
ON WITH THE FACTS:
1-440 dodge big block that is a good runner. the motor is 2 years old from and it runs REALLY well.
2-holley carb with holley fuel pump
3-msd ignition system 7al and blaster coil and msd distributor
4-tti ceramic coated headers
5-mandrel bent exhaust that is approximately a little over a year old done by high speed (highspeedperf.com)
6-corbeau seats (super comfortable) driver has adjustable lumbar
7-front tires have less than 1000 miles on them
8-wheels are weld drag lites all the way around
9-mickey thompson 18.5x33x15 rears
10-narrowed dana 60 rear end with strange axles and 4.10 gear (spool if i remember correctly)
11-reverse manual valve body trans with cheetah shifter
12-autometer guages
13-paint
is in great shape. there are a few scratches here and there but overall
for the car being 41 years old its looks incredible
14-fiberglass hood (perfect condition), front bumper, fenders and trunk lid.
15-trunk mounted battery
16-chrome alternator (extra that will come with it that is brand new and never used)
17-hoosier slicks (rarely used) and hoosier front runners (tires to be used for track purposes)
18-fiberglass snorkel pro stock hood (extra that will come with it)
19-brand new dvd player/system (professional install by rce 708-218-3583)
20-4 wheel disc brakes
21-nitrous bottle mounted in back (extra bottle will come with the car)
22-all fuel lines are braided steel lines.

PUT THE MILEAGE AT 7500 SINCE I KNOW FOR A FACT THE DRIVETRAIN HAS ALOT
LESS THAN THAT. THE CAR ITSELF IS 41 YEARS OLD AND IN GREAT CONDITION.
I INSTALLED THE 440 A FEW YEARS AGO. IT RUNS GREAT AND IS PRETTY FAST.
THE BODY HAS MORE THAN 7500 MILES. THE ENGINE AND TRANS ALONG WITH THE
RIMS AND TIRES DEFINITELY DO NOT.
SUPPOSEDLY THIS CAR IS A MR. NORMS DART. THERE IS A "SPECIAL" GRILL PIECE THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN ON ANY OTHER DART BEFORE. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS PARTICULAR GRILL PIECE IS EXTREMELY RARE. I HAVE BEEN TO QUITE A FEW CARS SHOWS AND HAVE HAD NUMEROUS OFFERS TO SELL THAT GRILL PIECE. AS YOU CAN SEE IT IS STILL ON THE DART.
the car is a great runner. if you are looking for an awesome car to
drive around town in, this is it. i have taken it on the expressway
with no problems. would i want to drive it from los angeles to new york? i could but i dont have the money for gas to fund that trip or time to take the trip . if i did i would be keeping the car. could
i comfortably take it to local car shows, events, drive around town, and highway use without any problems and run it at the track? totally.
the car has NEVER overheated on me once. i pretty much set this up so
my father could comfortably drive it.
this car is an ORIGINAL big block car from 1968. every time this
car is out people always look at it since you dont see many of these.
it is a real head turner. i have put ALOT of blood (literally) sweat
and tears and money into this car to make it what it is. i can say that
i dont think you will find a better pro street car for the value. it
drives, its comfortable, its beautiful, and reliable.

THE FEW TIMES THIS CAR HAS BEEN DOWN THE QUARTER MILE IS HOOKED GREAT AND WENT STRAIGHT.
AS I HAVE STATED BEFORE, THIS IS A PRO STREET CAR.
YOU CAN DRIVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY. I WOULDNT SUGGEST TRYING TO DO 90+ MILES PER HOUR BUT IT WILL DRIVE IN TRAFFIC AND NOT OVERHEAT.
I DONT REALLY KNOW WHAT TO SAY EXCEPT WHOEVER GETS THIS CAR WILL BE REALLY HAPPY WITH IT.
I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF "PRO STREET" DARTS AND THEY ALWAYS HAVE A HORRIBLE STANCE OR THE REAR QUARTERS LOOK LIKE THEY WERE CUT USING A TEMPLATE FROM 1945. THIS CAR SITS PERFECTLY AND RIDES JUST AS WELL.

On Nov-05-09 at 00:09:17 PST, seller added the following information: I FORGOT TO ADD THAT THE EXHAUST IS JET COATED ALL THE WAY THROUGHOUT. ITS SOUNDS INCREDIBLE AND RUMBLES REALLY NICE. THE EXHAUST COMES OUT RIGHT BEFORE THE REAR WHEELS.
ALSO TO BE NOTED THAT THERE ARE BRAND NEW STRANGE CALIPERS AND ROTORS ON THE REAR WHEELS.
THE FRONT BUMPER, FENDERS, HOOD, AND TRUNK ARE ALL FIBERGLASS.
THE REAR BUMPER IS STEEL THAT HAS BEEN PAINTED TO MATCH THE CAR.
THERE IS NO BACK SEAT. ITS A PRO STREET/RACE CAR NOT A FAMILY CRUISER. THIS CAR MAKES LITTLE KIDS SCREAM AND OLDER KIDS DREAM. ITS THE BADDEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. HANDS DOWN. IT LOOKS MEAN, SOUNDS MEAN, AND RUNS LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL.
I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE AT MR. NORMS (LARRY) AND HE SAID IN THE FIRE THAT GRAND SPAULDING DODGE HAD ALL THE RECORDS FOR THE CARS FROM 1963 TO 1968 WERE BURNED. HE HAS NO WAY WHATSOEVER OF CHECKING THAT THIS CAR WAS A MR. NORMS ORIGINAL. WHEN MY FATHER GOT THE CAR HE WAS TOLD IT WAS A MR. NORMS CAR. I AM NOT SAYING IT POSITIVELY IS OR ISNT. IT IS A KICK ASS PRO STREET CAR AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS. AT LEAST TO ME THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.
