Before you get excited, please read this… I don’t want to give a false impression of my car and want to get the issues out of the way...
Overall... The rear quarters are filled with Bondo and wavy, the white paint “hides” the imperfections rather well. The trunk floor have a fiberglass patch but it’s all-together even through it’s not the prettiest of jobs. The interior is stock and rather nice for being un-restored. The seats each have a rip, not too big. The dash is very nice and even has the original AM thumbwheel radio. The only interior mods are the speakers. There is one in the drivers and one in the passengers doors, of course, not original. If you want a pure, rust free car - this is not for you. If you want a clean, well-maintained Hotrod as a daily driver, not a hanger queen, this is the car for you. It idles nicely, has a great rumble-sound, not too loud, just stout. Handles like a ’68 (torsion bars) even with the poly-bushings, it’s a MOPAR after all. It’s not perfect by any means but fun to drive around and dependable. I drive it to work twice a week (55 miles R/T) and I have had zero issues, never been stranded and it performs rather well in all weather conditions, even snow. All the lights work (the headlamps are halogen) in & out, as well as the heater and defrosting system. All the AC components, except what is mounted under the dash, are gone. All the replaced stocked parts are gone, due to their poor condition.
The disclaimer... Got to do it... The car is sold as is. I am not making any promises, guarantees or providing a warranty. I will state again that the car has been dependable for me and great to drive.
OK, now for the good stuff... 1968 Dodge Coronet “440 Model”. Originally was a 318, automatic, AC car. I retained all the important receipts and even have the original owners manual.
Engineshop Engine (Upper Darby, PA): 360/mild Comp Cam/Dbl Roller Chain/Mopar Valve Covers, Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Edelbrock 600 CFM Electric Choke Carb and Lokar cables, Pentronix Ignition Kit, Accel Ignition Coil, MSD 8.8 Ignition Wires, Cyclone Alumi-Coat Headers, Copper collector gaskets, welded dual exhaust system with performance mufflers out the back (by Meineke)
The air-pan I created with aluminum to fit inside the 6-Pack hood. It may not be pretty but it fits, is functional and works well (as it flexes and doesn’t bend the hood).
Transmission: Cope Street 904 Transmission, Hughes Street Converter (2200 Stall Speed), Mopar Performance Deep Trans Pan, New Factory Transmission Lines and Lokar kick-down trans cable
Radiator serviced, new hoses - water/heater, Napa Alternator - 70 AMP, Electronic module conversion, DieHard Battery, new gas tank and sender, new stock fuel pump
PST Complete Front Suspension Kit (Poly Bushings, Idler Arm, Pitman Arm, inner/outer tie rods), Front brakes: MP Brake Master Cylinder & Proportioning Valve, 70-74 Cuda Spindles, 1976 Dart Calipers. Rear brakes: New drums and complete Kevlar rear brake kit (w/wheel cylinders), New brake lines F to R, DOT 5 fluid... I would recommend a Wildwood brake proportioning valve as in hard stops, the rear brakes want to lock up. It's on my "to do" list.
Mopar Leaf Springs, gas shocks front, air shocks rear, 8 ¾ Posi – 3.91 Gear and proper posi gear fluid.
Chrysler 300 Vented Rally Wheels, 15x7, factory chromed, Yokohama Avid ST Radial tires, R235-15x70
Fiberglas Parts: L&R Fenders , 6-Pak Hood (pin on), F&R Bumpers (rear bumper is for a 68 RR – couldn’t find a Coronet), and Trunk Lid (pin on)
Jenson Single CD Player (did not hack the dash, mounted under the dash) with AUX jack for MP3/iPods, Sony 200-Watt Amplifier mounted in the truck, 4 x Pioneer Triaxials Speakers, 5 ÂĽ in doors & 6x9 in rear deck
Paint: Maaco – nothing fancy, antique white
I hope I provided a good, honest picture of my car. If I failed to mention anything, I can only say, sorry, it wasn't intentional.
Good luck with the bidding process. If you have more questions or would like a certain photo posted, let me know, I'll try to accommodate you. I'll post additional photos when the requests come at: http://homepage.mac.com/mgreaux/moparforsale/PhotoAlbum4.html
