Hello and thanks for looking. This is your chance to own a Classic Mopar from the Muscle Era, for a price far cheaper than if you did it yourself. This car is a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport. 318 V-8 with 4 barrel. 3 Speed auto transmission and front disc brakes. It has factory rally wheels, dual mirrors and the original factory sunroof!
The paint is new - Omni Flame Red single stage, 4 coats sanded and buffed to a nice shine. The blackout paintwork is similar to the Demon 340 and Duster 340 models. Straight body - original quarters, doors and floors. Zero rust anywhere, ever. Nice grille and bezels, emblems and side markers. Nice factory wheel lip moldings and door mirrors.
The interior is as nice as the outside. New bucket seats, carpet, headliner and dash pad. Yes, new dash - not a glued on cap. Very nice guage cluster and dash woodgrain. Door and kick panels are just as nice. Speaker deck is new. Nice sunvisors & rearview mirror. Sunroof opens & closes with minimal effort. New ignition and door locks. Factory AM radio is in place but no longer works.
The 318 V-8 is known for its reliability and good fuel economy. 20 MPG is possible if driven at 65 MPH or less. This engine starts easily and idles smooth. No smoke and no rattles. It runs great and makes decent power. It has a 4 barrel carter thermo quad carb, new fuel pump and filter, and dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. Don't worry - it sounds nice but won't scare the dog. New Battery, new radiator & new power steering pump. Transmission shifts great. Great brakes. This car stops without squealing or pulling to either side. The front end bushings look very nice. They may have been replaced at some time. KYB shocks front and rear. Very good handling, better than expected for a car built in the 70's. Rally wheels are 14x5 1/2 front and 15x6 1/2 rear. Tires are 205-70 and 245-60 F/R with 70-80% tread. This car looks and performs great. It has the great hot rod styling without the Demon 340 price.
Project cars can be fun for the guy who has the time, space and ability, but often it is cheaper to buy a finished car. This car is complete and needs nothing. It is registered in the State of California through June 2008. It is so reliable, you can drive it anywhere and leave the toolbox at home. The sunroof lets the sun and moon in when you want it. The 318 runs on regular gas. It is cheap to maintain too. It is a non A/C car - heater and defrost only. Odometer reads 01834 miles but is not correct. The guage cluster was replaced. Original speedometer read 91523. I will include the front license plate bracket but no plate. It was missing when I got the car.
