| You are bidding on a 1962 M37B1 3/4 ton Dodge military truck. No Rust. I converted it to an off-road truck about 3 years ago. The stock motor and transmission are out of an 1985 Chevrolet 1 ton. The motor was a rebuilt 4blt main 350 Chevrolet with 62000 on it before I put it in this truck. The trans. is a 4 speed sm465 with a hydraulic clutch. I put 1992 model Chevrolet throttle body fuel injection on it. I pieced the fuel injection together and purchased the closed loop wiring harness off eBay and it all runs great. The transfer case and driveline is all original and solid. I believe the gears are 5.89 ratio. The rims are custom built. They are hummer H1 rims welded to the M37 centers. They have 16 inch pvc rings inside them to make them beadlocks. I off-road at 3 lbs air in them and have never rolled off the tires. I built them myself so I would not recommend them on the street but they have been trail tested many times. The tires are 3 years old and are 39.5 TSL Super Swampers. AWSOME TIRES. No lift was needed for this set up so all the suspension is stock. The steering I fabed myself, it is a hydraulic orbital and a 2 inch ram run off the power steering pump. It is powerful and works great. The roll cage is as strong an heavy built as it looks. I wanted it to keep 6000 lbs of truck off of me if needed. Here are some small details about the truck: anything stated new was new 3 YEARS AGO, new gauges, and a fuel pressure gauge as well, in tank GM 1992 model fuel pump, 5 pt harness (is out of date), quick detach steering wheel, new batteries under passenger seat bolted down, new distributor plug wires and electronics, factory GM 1985 headers with prongs cut out and welded up, new exhaust with thrush mufflers, new clutch, and headlights. There is even a 1500 lbs winch mounted to the backside of the front bumper. Its not much but it has gotten me out of a crack a time or too. Sometimes all you need is a little help. The brakes are all original but work great. The crawl speed of this truck is slooow. It has the original divorced 201 transfer case so you have a high and low range. The only thing I did on this truck you might not like is I welded the rear and front differentials. They have been welded for 3 years and I never have had a problem. They sell lockers for these trucks now that are very affordable but for what I did in this truck I didn’t see the need in them. With the hydraulic steering you don't notice the front is locked. It steers great. Its got some dents and wrinkles in the metal where some rocks left their mark but I call them battle scars. However I do not have the title. This truck runs, drives, trail rides and crawls great. It is as big and mean as it looks. I've been to Clayton OK. and Barnwell Mt in Gilmer TX. in this truck several times and it never ceases to amaze me at what it can crawl up, down or over. You won’t be disappointed in this truck.
